This About Sums Up Last Night

Don’t worry, this bald eagle wasn’t hit by a car. In the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew, the eagle had become stuck in the grille of a car near Jacksonville, Florida. The bird was safely removed and transferred to a care facility, where he’s “standing up and alert,” they say, and expected to make a full recovery. And his new name? Matthew, of course.

This old couple in the car were yelling at each other and they didn’t even see me!

Glad to know the nation–I mean, the eagle–will survive.

I’m listening to the NPR Politics Podcast recap of the debates. Not so sure about the nation sometimes. But glad the eagle is OK.

Yes, I was watching the debate analysis this AM and that’s it – I’m just done. It’s like chimps throwing poop. I’m going to do my best not to watch any more political coverage between now and Election Day.

I’m glad the eagle will be Ok – thank you rescuers!

Yessir, it looks like the eagle will survive after all. It was touch and go for awhile, but now the outlook is increasingly positive… 😀

Where have you gone, Joe DiMaggio?
A nation turns its lonely eyes to you. . .
    again.

Rough stuff last night. But I grew up watching the Civil Rights Movement, the Vietnam War, Watergate hearings and such on my black and white tv. So knife fight politics is not a surprise to me.

I did, however, need to take a figurative shower after.

    That hover text, so true!

I’m not sure who was more horrified last. The audiance, the moderators, or The rest of the world who thought this was a WWE match.

I mean when a red sweater wins the debate, it’s a pretty pathetic one.
