And Now, Weird Al Feeding Ostriches

But first, shout-out to April for her ongoing support. Now let’s throw things over to Weird Al, who’s about to let those big birds ♬ eat iiiiiiit, eat iiiiiiit… ♬

Yay! You mentioned my name AND featured Weird Al in the same post? You have no idea how truly honored I am….made my day for sure! I mean it…I love his twisted humor…not being snarky????

Man, that is some intense eating there! Ostriches are so um intense– remember that video of the ostrich chasing down the cyclists in South Africa? Jinkies!

I’ve never seen that before. That is awesome! I love ostriches. I knew they could run fast but I didn’t know they had enough stamina for a sustained run like that.

Isn’t it amazing?! Still awes my mind.

Once I visited a drive through wildlife park where you buy a bag of nuggets to give the animals. The person in the car ahead of us took her hands off the bag, and an ostrich stuck its head in and grabbed the whole thing rather than waiting for treats to be parceled out. Intense birds indeed!

My, my, this ostrich- feeding guy,
    Maybe wins the Nobel someday,
but right now he’s that Weird Al guy….

yeah that was terrible, but now whenever I hear the tune of “American Pie” I hear Weird Al’s Star Wars lyrics, bless him. Those movies were imho mystery-science-theater-ready ech, but at least they brought about that amusing song parody.

Weird Al is fantastic–it takes a very clever brain to come up with great parodies. If you’ve never seen his Word Crimes video, go watch it now. Truly hilarious.

And I would be very nervous letting those beaks so close to my hands or face. Ostriches are best experienced from a distance, in my view.

I love Word Crimes. First, because I am a word nerd, but also because it allows me to enjoy the fun music without the disturbing lyrics of the original song.

All doubts about that whole birds-are-the-evolutionary-descendants-of-dinosaurs theory erased in a 16 second video featuring Weird Al.

Comment winner of the day, Zapes!

Dinosaurs with feathers. Good thing for Al that those things are not carnivores.

Weirded-out Al! His dubious expression is definitely perfect. I think I’d wear chain mail around them, or at least a hockey mask for face protection!

I’ve only seen him live once, but it was totally worth it. And my favorite of his goes way back — Yoda, Yo-Yo-Yo-Yoda, Yo-Yo-Yo-Yoda…..

I once feed ostriches in a drive through wildlife park and I have to admit that I found them kind of scary. Also they bit my fingers, so I’m not a big fan. But I like Weird Al 😀

Why no BGM ?? “Eat it” would have worked good .. hehe

I haven’t seen or thought about Weird Al for decades. It definitely feels weird that he reappears silently feeding ostriches!

You should check out some of his work in the last decade then. As other have mentioned “Word Crimes” is hilarious. I really love White and Nerdy.
