And finally: Queen’s Bowl to Milk Seven, Checkmate

A shared bowl of milk becomes a passive-aggressive game of chess for these two kitties, in a video sent by Catslave:

Those are two beautiful cats politely fighting over the milk bowl!!!!! And I love the doggeh who takes toys to bed. Our dearly departed Maggie the Dox used to take the SAME toy to bed every night.

Ok. Why does it seem like there are TWO ducks on the flight?!?!?!

Polite kitties aside, that plaid floor is sweet.

Especially good collection of links today. The dog is fascinating. Searching for the particular toy it wants to bring to bed and then choosing which one to bring back down and exactly when to do that, even bringing a toy back up if the humans mess with his plans and bring the wrong toy down! I would love to know what the dog’s thinking is!

I love that story, too! There have been other dogs that do cool stuff with toys, like this one: http://dobermansden.com/donnie-the-doberman-arranges-toys/

I’m not sure if it was the same dog, but I read about one a few years ago who made elaborate tableaus with his toys.

The closest thing my Lab has ever done is making a shrine to my husband the first time he left us for a business trip. She found a pair of his shoes, a bag he had carried a lot, and a couple of garments he’d worn and piled them all in her favorite spot at the top of the stairs. She didn’t chew them up or anything, just gently collected them.

Thank you for the link! Donnie is amazing! The video was riveting. Donnie’s creation of the vignette of the two stuffies with one cuddling the other after he first allowed his human to hug him is mind-boggling. There is a long series of comments to that post in which many people say their dogs (and at least one cat, as far as I went in the comments) also create patterns with their toys.

Next time I fly I want a support duck!

I could have used one flying into Seattle during the storm last weekend! Although I do have a good “support husband” who lets me squeeze the life out of his arm during takeoffs and landings.

I love when kitty looks at the camera operator. “Are you gonna do something about this?”

“I mean, I’m just spitballing out loud here, but perhaps a second bowl? Is there some worldwide Tupperware shortage I didn’t read about in the papers?”

I have 12 lids but only one bowl…

Do any of them fit your one bowl?

          • allein ? October 19, 2016 / 7:02 pm

            Of course not.

That’s what I was thinking, why make them fight? Just give them each a bowl. I wonder if she also make her kids fight for their food?

        Snerk. “World wide tupperware shortage”?

The surprise guest in the Turkish newsroom reminds me of the cat who gatecrashed a live weather forecast in a German TV studio a few years ago.
