This needs a gazillion “up” votes!

I did my part (even though I haven’t got the slightest idea who this Gumby is).

Sorry to contradict you but Gumby is older than the 70’s, it started in the 50’s and I watched Gumby on TV (in French) in the early 60’s.

You’re quite right, and I noticed the 60’s copyright in the very video I posted, so that was careless of me.

That is so sweet! And now I want a Gumby onesie.

PS old enough to remember Eddie Murphy’s Gumby sketches from SNL and they’re still funny.

To the other dog: Go away! He’s MINE!

    Snorf Borkman!

  5. Amyliz October 28, 2016 / 3:05 pm

With an eloquent essay like that, he was bound to win! Love this video!

    Could not be sweeter.

Doggie dream come true. Lovely chane of expression and realization on dog’s face. My love, Gumby is HERE FOR REAL.

Substitute a Captain Picard doll for me. And have Patrick Stewart walk in dressed in Starfleet uniform. I’d get him down on the floor so fast!

    • DebG October 28, 2016 / 4:35 pm

      Whoa, Faye! TMI!

(I’m right there with you. I mean, with Patrick Stewart.)

      • Faye October 28, 2016 / 4:37 pm

        He’s mine! (I wish.)

    • Gigi the cat lady October 28, 2016 / 4:38 pm

For me it would be Kenneth Branagh!

      • Faye October 28, 2016 / 5:51 pm

        Nice.

      • Phred's Mom October 28, 2016 / 5:59 pm

        Clive Owen here definitely. *sigh*
        ?

        • Faye October 28, 2016 / 9:55 pm

          Good choice.

    • Duckie ? October 28, 2016 / 6:09 pm

      Matt Smith or David Tennant.
      (Sigh)

      • Birdcage October 28, 2016 / 8:09 pm

        BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH FOR ME

        • Faye October 28, 2016 / 9:54 pm

          After Picard.

      • Gigi the cat lady October 28, 2016 / 8:10 pm

If were talking Doctor Who then, Peter Davidson (I know, I know, before your time)

        • Duckie ? October 28, 2016 / 8:23 pm

Gigi, he was my first Doctor.
You never forget your first Doctor.

          • Gigi the cat lady October 28, 2016 / 9:19 pm

My first was Tom Baker, Peter came next and I had such crush on him. I’ve always had a soft spot for blonds.

            • Duckie ? October 28, 2016 / 9:42 pm

When hubby is asleep, he frequently looks like Peter Davison.

              • Faye October 28, 2016 / 10:00 pm

                ?

Am I the only one who loved 9?

He had great energy and comedic timing. Enough anger to burn planets and enough testosterone to plausibly flirt with a tree. Plus, he had enough acting talent to make whatsherface more appealing.

And there was nothing scarier than when he was smiling.

That said, Baker was my Doctor too.

Come Spring we need a bracket for doctors and/or companions.

      • Faye October 28, 2016 / 9:55 pm

        David.

        • Duckie ? October 28, 2016 / 10:15 pm

          Huh?

        • Duckie ? October 28, 2016 / 10:23 pm

Sorry, Faye. That was rude of me. I should have said “pardon?”.

I just had another idea on how to caption this. I enjoy those videos of soldiers being greeted by their dogs after months away on duty. So here we have someone just home from a six-month tour in the Gumby Wars.

    • Faye October 28, 2016 / 5:51 pm

Exactly. Those Gumby Wars Are a stretch too far.

    • Amyliz October 28, 2016 / 6:06 pm

      Yes, perfect!:)

    • Faye October 28, 2016 / 9:58 pm

That’s Captain Gumby! Sir! Yes Sir!

  9. Kar October 30, 2016 / 2:04 am

What cracks me up is that he apparently had this costume almost as long as he’s had the dog!
