In the morning, Maru and Hana wake up in their Sleep Number boxes (each with individual size settings). They nap a lot. Sometimes Hana falls asleep on Maru’s arm, and then he can’t move for an hour. In the fall, they sit outdoors and watch the leaves fall from the trees and quietly contemplate the days they have left.
