And finally: The Eye on the Tiger

“Now this is a Christmas present,” writes sender-inner Thérèse B. “Siberian tigers in a Quebec zoo being filmed by and becoming quite interested in drones.”

Between Jess the dear rescuing Labrador (a Canadian breed) and the tigers playing in the snow at the St-Félicien Wild Zoo, Canada is taking over this post!

The St-Félicien Wild Zoo is an amazing place, they are dedicated to conservation of northern species. http://zoosauvage.org/en/

Flamboyant cuttlefish are both tiny and poisonous, the only cuttlefish that are.

    I want a Hypno-potamus for Christmas –
    Only a Hypno-potamus will do…

HAH!!! Very clever. Have you known that song a long time or only relatively recently? I learned it as a kid from a pair of twins who sang it in a little Christmas show our 3rd grade class put on. Then I sang it many years later for a museum staff Christmas party where my future husband worked and he claims that’s when he fell for me!?

I love the man who would wrap up nuts to give to squirrels – I have a soft spot for them and we love to watch those that gather by our back door every morning when we broadcast seeds and nuts for both birds and squirrels. We have mostly grey squirrels but we have at least two black ones.

I saw a black squirrel last week! Don’t see them around here much.

I hope it’s just the dry air but I woke up with a slight sore throat this morning. Squirrel gifts and gorgeous tigers help….

Great story – you never know what will strike true love!

I never heard the song as a child, but I had a very funny coworker who sang it. And then of course the TV commercial for the USPS that was everywhere this year.

Oh, we have black squirrels too (well, very dark slate gray) – they are beautiful.

OMG I want that hypnopotamus so much. And the tigers took my breath away. Of course they want to catch the drone!

There must be two drones in the tiger story; when you see the drone in the footage, there has to be another taking it. As always, find all stories so interesting.
