Links: Scooby Doo, Who Are You?

And finally: You Goat to Love It

When little Benjamin was rejected by its mum, this nice man took him into his garden shop, where he has all the pine trees he can eat. Thanks, Gigi the Cat Lady!

I think I confessed this once on Cute Overload (and never anywhere else!), but . . . I called the police when I mistook my cat for an intruder. (Yeah. They laughed too.)

      That is so beautiful.

I called the cops for some strange noises coming from the park behind my parents house. It was just 17-yr old me, my sister-in-law and 2 babies and the noises where freaking us out, especially since there had been some unknown people on the property earlier in the evening. Cops came and told us that no, it wasn’t some teenagers hanging out and having a party, it was two racoons ahem “mating”. LOL

Another time when I was living in NYC, I woke up hearing some scratching noises outside my window and I swear I thought I saw someone out there. I was most of the way to the door before the old brain kicked in and said idiot, you’re on the 4th floor and you don’t have a balcony, there’s no one out there. Turned out to be the branch of a tree banging against the building. It seems nightime does weird things to your brain when you’re half asleep.

My husband grew up in NYC (Queens) during the 1970s, with a public parking lot just across the street from his apartment building. He always talks about how alarms would go off on cars in the lot and then they’d have to listen to them ALL DAY (the technology apparently wasn’t sophisticated enough to have automatic shutoffs back then). There’s one particular story along those lines, however, that just cracks me up every single time he tells it. Apparently hubby had gone to bed one night and woke up at around 3 AM to, yet again, the sound of a car alarm going off in the nearby lot. This one, however, wasn’t just a siren; it would blare a siren for a few seconds, and then a recorded voice would announce, “Burglar! Burglar!” Hubby being rather more than half asleep, however, heard the voice as instead saying, “Pervert! Pervert!” and couldn’t for the life of him figure out why an alarm would be warning everyone of such a thing. Heh.

If there were electronic pervert alerts in any or all of the 5 Burroughs of New York City the entire electric grid for the United State would go down.

Julie Andrews signing is the only thing that could have made that baby goat cuter.

    • Gigi the cat lady January 18, 2017 / 9:31 am

Dammit I did it again, Julie Andrews SINGING not signing ??

      • DebG January 18, 2017 / 10:30 am

See, now you know how I claimed to be a car person!

Adorable linkies. Bats freak me out, so I didn’t pursue, but loved the others.

The difference is, you got a hurt hand but I mix those two all the &%@ time! (and being a French speaker is no excuse!)

Gee, I think Julie Andrews signing (narrating the video in sign language) would be awesome!

You must remember .. Great Dane move silently .. Right until they jump on you
    scaring the willies outta ya.

Either that .. or as law enforcement tends to use the phase

    “Alcohol may have been involved”

    • Smartypants January 18, 2017 / 11:41 am

“At that point, we ditched all tactics and died laughing”…!

    • Faye January 18, 2017 / 2:31 pm

Flying Bumble Bee Mammal. That would be scary!!

      • Doug January 18, 2017 / 2:49 pm

In Michigan, they grow mosquitoes that big .. hehe

The bat’s fur pattern is beautiful. And the dog that kept his human warm in the freezing cold probably can get anything he wants now: steak, couch time, a Rottweiler girlfriend…
