Fennec Fox — Now in Kit Form!

Australia’sΒ Taronga ZooΒ welcomes a little bundle of joy: a fennec fox kit. According to ZooBorns, the fennec fox is the smallest fox species, so the newborn is super cute. Born on December 3, the kit has only begun to wander out into the enclosure, under the watchful eyes of its mother and father.

I can definitely hear you going “awwwww.”

And the little baby is keeping mom and dad extra busy:

When I see them walk, my brain fills in the twinkle-twinkle-twinkle sounds.

I hear those same bells when I see mini dogs being walked! πŸ™‚

Oh gosh, me too! Like a teeny toy piano – dink-dink-dink!

I love how baby is so curious about the camera, but skittish.

      Oh my god yes!

I’m sure he heard me go thud! How am I supposed to do any work today? I mean, really.

This baby is as skittish as a kit-ten.

Sharp intake of breath – then slow “Awwww” exhalation. Oh, my. Those earsies.

Okay, so where can one buy the kits? (My company sells a lot of kits, hence my lame attempt at a joke.)

You could make a ‘fennec-fox-ears’ hat kit – like a pu**y hat, only white, with bigger ears πŸ˜€

That is a FANTASTIC idea. We’ve already got a Lovecats cowl going!

I don’t know, whoever assembled this kit seems to have picked out disproportionate ears!

Yes, and the kitty in the other post received too small earsies πŸ™‚
(reminds me of my furniture assembling skills – or more like the lack of them, this time it wasn’t me – I swear)

I’ll take the whole kit, hold the caboodle.

Fennec foxes are adorable (love the sproinging kit), but for some reason I just watched these cuties and got Sister Bertrille. Do FF have to watch out for strong winds?

    • allein ? February 13, 2017 / 1:56 pm

They better stay out of my area today.

      • Clairdelune February 14, 2017 / 3:39 am

        Why, are you contemplating kit-napping???

        • allein ? February 14, 2017 / 8:36 am

Well, it’s just that it was very windy here yesterday but I would be happy to keep them safe inside my place.

    • Clairdelune February 14, 2017 / 3:47 am

Actually, those ears are really ultra-powerful transmitters+antennas – sending out a steady message: “Stranded on Crazed Planet – Aliens Not Welcome – Must Go Home”

Baby is so rambunctious. I feel tired for the parents. They probably say the same to baby I say to my baby nephew. “You’re lucky you’re so darn cute!”

    • Clairdelune February 14, 2017 / 3:38 am

Hee Hee!! I hear you. πŸ˜€

πŸ˜€ This adorable Kit reminds me of my babies… the constant motion, with me trying to keep them from causing mayhem or damaging themselves permanently……. Mom and Dad Fennec must be looking forward to when Kit decides to go to sleep. πŸ˜€
