This Just In: Jaguar Cubs

The Elmwood Park Zoo are showing off two baby jaguar cubs born January 24. The brother and sister were born to Elmwood Park’s female Jaguar Inka and male Zean, from the Pennsylvania Zoo. Mother and cubs will be off exhibit for a few months, and then they’ll move into a brand new facility titled “Trail of the Jaguar.”

Adorably deadly.

Is it just me not able to see the hovertext, or did these cuties manage to render NTMTOM speachless?

      Oh, and “Murder Mittens” too!

My footie pajamas will have hand coverings too, because who doesn’t want “murder mittens”?

Footie pjs would not be complete without murder mittens.

Perfect! Today we are having our rainforest-themed “holiday” party (because we’re too busy to actually do it during the holidays). They’ll fit right in!

The party goes until 3:30 (it’s 2:45 right now); I escaped after they did service awards (I got a pin and my name in the program for my 15 years) and raffle prizes. I can hear the music from my desk. I do not feel obligated to accomplish any work while the party is still raging, though, and am catching up on the day in cute instead.

Love the expression of the kitten on the right. “Hey, did you hear we are getting new digs once we are sprung from this joint?”
