Chickens Go In, Fashion Comes Out

The two strangers sat together in silence during the long bus ride.ย From time to time, Gertrudeย attempted to start a conversation to help pass the time, but her seatmate remained stoic and still. It was only later she realized she had stumbled onto the horrific secret of… Mrs. Tweedy’s Fall Designer Accessories collection!

Woman’s touch. Makes the public feel more comfortable.

The perfect bag for take-out, Sharon H.

I need a new bag, but I’m not sure I want one that will stare at me all day…

I guess the guy in the pic also found the chick-stare unbearable, that’s why the chick is looking at us or showing the butt to the guy. ๐Ÿ™‚

I see your Chicken Run references there. Well played Mike, well played.

Part of me really wants to know the back story on this – why is a chicken in the vehicle, where is it going, just soooo many questions. And part of me is going, nope don’t want to know, just shake your head, remind yourself life is mysterious and move on.

Roads are getting so dangerous for pedestrians these days. Probably safer to cross in the car.

Alternative joke: Our society is getting so lazy! Can’t even walk across the road anymore! Gotta drive everywhere!

… and this annoys me so much ๐Ÿ™
I like walking, cycling and I drive only when it makes my life easier (when I need to carry something heavy, there will be available parking spaces, the weather is bad etc) and people in my neighbourhood simply don’t understand it. The confused expression on their faces when I tell them that I walk by my own choice… Of course I appreciate they want to help, it is just strange as I have never thought walking is forbidden. ๐Ÿ™‚
Sorry to everyone, I am extra anti-social today.

So most probably the chicken also got tired of all the lift offers and just gave in to this guy, he seemed nice enough not to pluck her.

I don’t have much choice but to drive to work, unfortunately. The only reason I would ever want to live in a city would be the ability to get everywhere without a car. When I used to go to NYC for work, I would walk from the train station to the office (just had to go from 7th to 5th Ave and then it was about 14 blocks). I enjoyed the walk and would usually take a different street each time to get from one Ave to the next. Took a cab only once because I was with coworkers and one of them had luggage. When I worked in Philly it was six blocks from the train to my office; I could take the subway for four of them, and did if the weather was really bad, but usually I walked. Even bought myself a new coat with a hood that winter so I would be less tempted to take the subway when it was just cold.

There are a few places I can easily walk to from home (a small grocery store that I only go to when I’m desperate for something, a convenience store, a few restaurants (that I rarely go to)…but I figure if I’m gonna get a sub from the sub shop I’m gonna at least walk there to get it [which is the same reason I refuse to do drive-thrus on the rare occasions I go to McDonalds]).

The chicken on the right is saying, “What the devil is going on here?”
Deviled egg joke, bad but sorry my brain feels a little scrambled from allergies!
