Fiona the preemie hippo keeps getting stronger, but she’s not out of danger yet. Preemies are especially vulnerable to disease, so her care team must maintain a clean environment while also preparing Fiona for return to her parents. Here’s a member of the care team to explain what’s next for Fiona.
Thanks to Fiona fans Lois M. and Murray C.
What a great video! Loved seeing the bigger hippos swimming, to compare to darling Fiona.
I didn’t realize that a group of hippos is called a “bloat”! I think we should change that to a “blorp” of hippos. It’s equally accurate, but not so rude!
Just checked: Fiona’s over eighty pounds!
And she’s round like she’s supposed to be, not skinny. It’s the little things – I remember when she first arrived, her little toenails weren’t even fully formed – they were splayed out like petals – and now her feet look like proper hippo feet. Yay Fiona!
Thank you for the update Mike!
Oh Fiona updates always make me so happy!!
Hippo photobomb!!
Yes, and I think when something that size decides to photobomb you…you let them! 😀
