BINDLESNIFFER?????? Mike, I think you can probably hear my guffaws all the way from Philly to florida.

So I had to look up the word “bindle”…

A bindle is the bag, sack, or carrying device stereotypically used by the American sub-culture of hobos. A bindlestiff was another name for a hobo who carried a bindle.

Now I’m picturing pup with a bundle of kibble and toys on the end of that stick.

I actually knew that! I had a friend who lived a hobo life and rode the rails for part of his life – then he became a songwriter.

Me, too! I had a friend who had been a hobo during the Depression, with his stuff tied up in a giant red bandanna hung off a stick and everything. And he had worked for the railroads before the Depression, so he would talk one of his engineer friends into letting him ride the cowcatcher on the front of the engine!!

Wow, on the cowcatcher! That sounds rather chancey! Better than riding the rods, underneath the train, but not by much!

On the off chance she says no, I’ll go to the prom with him.

My love for this photo knows no bounds!!!! There’s nothing I find cuter in this world than a dog exhibiting ownership over something. I am fortunate to live near a beautiful ravine trail where I love to go walking on the weekends. I love all the doggehs who are trying to carry home some big stick that they’ve found – or even a doggeh carrying their tennis ball home from the dog park. Or a dog that insists on carrying one end of its leash in its mouf! So stinkin’ cute!!!

There’s a guy with a dog that I’ve seen a few times on my way home while driving through the downtown area near where I work. The dog is a Black Lab and he’s always trotting along with a small yellow plastic baseball bat in his mouth. I have no idea if he just always walks with his bat, or if they’re coming from playing at the nearby park. It’s the cutest thing.

I recently saw a dog who had just found a ratty old tennis ball in the park I go to and he was simply beside himself with joy! It must’ve felt like Christmas morning to him. 🙂

Adorable. Absolutely adorable. All other words fail me as my brain has turned to mush from the abundance of cute ; the paws, the smile, the prance, the ears, the tailio, the dead branch…. gah.

Okay. I can not imagine anything cuter than a puppy prom! Can you imagine all the adorable little pups prancing around. Someone should do this for reals!
