Does the Name “Pavlov” Ring a Bell?

Time for a shout-out to Amy for starting a new monthly tip. If you like Cutetropolis and want to show some love, look for “Support the Site” over to the right.

Now here’s a video sent by Gigi the cat lady (plus a completely different Amy), who observes that Pavlov rang a bell and got a dog to expect food, but in this house the cats ring the bells and get the food.

I like when the kitty on the left starts ringing the other bell.

I wonder how long it would take him to learn to ring his own bell if the other kitty got the treat when he rang that bell.

I was thinking along those lines, too. I have Christmas bells on our door knobs and the cat rings those to go outside. Tho’ I think sometimes she’s just testing us because then she won’t go out. How like a cat.

Our cats have posted a sign: This door to remain open during business hours. Too bad they are all indoor cats.

Murray C., are you my sister? She has Christmas bells on her door knobs that her cat rings to go out.

I like the markings on right-hand kitty – ‘Phantom of the Opera’ mask?

The noise in my house would be unbearable if my five cats had access to bells to ask for treats! To quote Quasimodo “The bells! The bells!”

I have only two cats and the non-stop ringing would drive me crazy, plus my cats would each weigh about 50 pounds! Sure makes a cute and entertaining video, though!:D

      Keeping time, time, time,
In a sort of Runic rhyme,
To the pæan of the bells–
      Of the bells :
      Keeping time, time, time,
In a sort of Runic rhyme,
To the throbbing of the bells–
      Of the bells, bells, bells–
      To the sobbing of the bells ;
      Keeping time, time, time,
      As he knells, knells, knells,
      In a happy Runic rhyme,
To the rolling of the bells–
      Of the bells, bells, bells–
To the tolling of the bells,
Of the bells, bells, bells, bells–
      Bells, bells, bells–
To the moaning and the groaning of the bells.

So have you heard about the guy who went to a library and asked for a book about Pavlov’s dog and Schrodinger’s cat? The librarian said it rang a bell, but she didn’t know if it was there or not.
