This is a constant quirk in us racing dogs. We have dreams in which we’re running in an oval, and when we wake up, it looks like we just made a U-turn.

Better than some poor pups
Awwwww, poor doggie! A sleep-runnin’ canine!
I had to stare at this picture for several seconds before I figured out just how all her pieces go together.
Yes, I’m still trying to determine if that’s her sternum or a knee – I’m pretty sure it’s her sternum. Excellent placement of Privacy Tail!
It must be her sternum but it seem so huge! Yes, quite agree about the privacy tail.
That’s what happens when people forget to read the assembly manual
Except for the U-turn, she looks a lot like Melody when she’s sleeping — her front paws all curled up in ways that look like they’d be *painful*, and a nicely placed tail for extra privacy. 😀 I love the way these super-skinny dogs can bend and twist their bodies — they honestly don’t look like it should even be possible!
Yes, I noticed the privacy tail too–very well done.
Whippet and Greyhound seem to only have 2 speed : run like the wind or sleep like a log.
And sleep with their eyes open half the time! I have no idea if this whippet is awake or asleep; you can’t tell by the eyes. Silly creatures!
My cousin did that when he was little. It was creepy. 😛
I like that Sophie B refers to it as “babysitting”, not “dogsitting”!!
Whippet good!!!!
I always dreamed of Julia Child singing that on her show.
A dog that is 50% potato?
