Maru and Hana: Double Exposure

Hana and especially Maru let us see more of themselves than is generally prudent before getting on with their busy day full of the three W’s: whapping, wrassling and wagging.

His Royal Roundness is not as confident on the high wire act as his sister. Maybe Mugumogo will get him a fig leaf for his birthday since his tail goes everywhere else butt over his privates! ?

Maybe he could try something like this:

Hana does mean flower too, so it works! XD

          😀

That first clip is a classic. Hana being a normal cat; Maru being Maru.

    Thoughts while watching:
Maru’s markings in the sun are gorgeous!
Hana is no longer a kitten.
Both kitties have well rounded personalities.
Hana’s sense of balance is much better than Maru’s.
    Well rehearsed murder attempts.
Almost a pity they are fixed. Maru and Hana kittens would have needed a website of their own.

I love that mugumogu allows them to play fight, my husband is so afraid they will hurt each other that he breaks up any rough housing right away. I will only interfere when my big T-Two (a male) get to rough with one of the little girls which he does sometimes.

I always broke up any “fighting” because Wacket was so much bigger than Minkette, but maybe they would have had fun. And Minkette really was more agile, like Hana is.

It’s Maru’s birthday in a few more days too!
I wonder what he’ll get… besides his fave chicken for dinner, and boxes of course XD

I cannot wait for his birthday video! And, photos of him wearing a “10” hat. Maru enters the double digits!

I think we just saw Hana invent a couple new wrestling moves!

Even though it’s mostly fluff, Maru is still too wide to walk on that narrow stone ledge like Hana can. How annoying for him! She can do something he can’t!

Other than giving the cats a place to practice tightrope walking, what is that railing for? That’s a flue coming up out of it, right? Is there a stove or furnace down there? The railing is to keep humans and dogs from getting burned, and is totally useless in protecting cats, who merely go over the top of it?

Did I see the rug change from white to green? Did she buy a new rug while shooting this compilation?

Yes, there’s some type of wood stove or heater in there – Mugumogo is going to have to add some type of grate over the top now that the Two Ninjas have conquered the railing.

      • Michael May 22, 2017 / 5:40 am

Thanks. Hard to see how that grating could be attractive, which it’ll have to be in her house. However, given that curiosity is constantly at war with caution in cats’ nature, yes, she may have to do something.

Smartypants, I just noticed your signature on a comment on the tube-nosed bat post at ZooBorns. (Those are some weird-looking critters!) Maybe I’m not the only one who goes straight from here to there every day for my full quota of animal cuteness.

Never heard of a tube-nosed bat, so I had to go look… the other comment cracked me up – Noodle-nosed fliers!! 😀

Some impressive cat jujitsu going on there.

How about Maru’s toebeans? Some are pink and some are black!

Maru at 1:00, “I’m not touching you!”
