And finally: Smile!

When it's hot out and there's no one to play with this is how we dog park

To use trucker parlance: criminal captured by a full-grown smokey (state cops). Smokey = sheriff and baby bear is local cops.

Warning, if you are at work and don’t want your co-workers to see you cry like a baby, DO NOT read the story of why the dog eats only half her food, wait until you get home.

I really needed the funny dogs sitting on cat after that one!

Thanks for the warning, Gigi. I’m just going to skip that one, as my threshold for sadness/crying is super-low these days.

That gorilla story was just amazing! Also the jerk cat story–I can relate after George’s walkabout last fall.

That first dog picture was definitely a jerk dog, all were funny. ๐Ÿ˜

So we have bears who fight forest fires, and now bears who help the police. Maybe next…Coast Guard bears? (I’m picturing polar bears in sailor-style uniforms).

The sad dog story reminds me of two of my kitties– older, diabetic tomcat, and my younger tortie who latched on to him, bathes him, grooms him, cuddles him, makes biscuits on him. The one mean thing she does is try to steal his diabetic food. I have to feed him in the dog crate, and he always saves just a couple of nuggets for her so that when I let him out, she hops in and gets her treat.

Love that smile on Shortcake’s pup. Life is hard, y’know?

As a caution; I read a comment that said that dogs sitting on other pets or children is an attempt to establish dominance. With the current perception that the owner is supposed to establish themselves as the Alpha,it can represent a status challenge, and if babies or toddlers are involved it might be dangerous for the child.
I would be interested in hearing what a dog behaviourist would have to say about it.

OMG! Baby Grilla was on the news right after he was born! I was gonna send it in but then never got to it. Love that little old man face!

“Irwinโ€™s sign quickly went viral, with many wondering why she would ever call her cat a jerk.”

I assume these people have never actually been owned by a cat.

Thank you, Allein! That is EXACTLY what I was thinking๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿ˜

This week I am cat-sitting. I woke up in an uncomfortable position this morning due to Stars curled up by my ankles. So of course I stayed there until she got up.

          As well you should.
