Squee Something, Say Something

“Hello, is this transit security? Listen, I’m on the ‘L’ train and this character sitting across from me looks suspicious. Well, to start with he’s got these beady eyes, they just stare back at me. And he’s wearing some kind of bandanna, I think it’s a gang uniform or something. But the worst part is that it’s the middle of summer on the stinking ‘L’ train, and he’s wearing a thick fur coat! What’s up with that? I think he’s hiding something.”

I will take the risk and check out this suspicious package.

He looks so tiny on that seat all by himself. Also he looks like he might take off and fly around the car at any minute.

I would love for it to fly in my direction…. this is clearly another plot to identify individuals easily incapacitated by the sight of anything small, furry, and looking innocent and helpless… *ded*

I like how his right ear and one bandanna end are flying off in the same direction, as if there were a might wind inside the train! And, Allein, I will back you up in checking out this questionable character!

Oh wow. This is amber alert cuteness. I would be incapacitated by this much lethal cute. Weapon of mass heart melting cute.
I am a puddle now – the scroll down was also lethal.

Hopefully mommy/daddy was right across from him and just taking his/her picture and this little one hadn’t been abandoned. He’s just my size so I’d be guilty of puppy napping, I’m afraid. Adorable!!

Hehe. Look up the “Present Peeker” post on Cute Overload (can’t get there from to work to link) to see Pablo in his doggie bag. 😉

See well below, I’ve posted an article about little Gizmo (who does usually sit in her bag on the subway, with her Mom Lisa.

When I see a white dog that’s actually white, let alone wearing a brightly colored bandana, it’s safe to assume they were just posed for the photo, and will be scooped up forthwith. Also note how the dog is looking intently at the camera, suggesting it’s held by a known hyooman who is telling him to sitstaygoodboy.

Also, anyone else remember reading about coyotes in Russia that use the bus system to commute? Like, the same animal gets on and off every day at the same stops. Other passengers leave the adjacent seat empty, but otherwise go on with their day with the kind of stoic indifference that only Russians can manage.

Y’know what, ignore that. On reflection, it’s kind of nuffing.

Let’s just focus on the happy pup.

We’re all under so much stress that it’s easy to go to a bad place with things. The bandana/gang uniform joke isn’t funny to me right now, because of some local news. (It should be funny, and I don’t fault Mike on it. I’m sensitized to the reference, that’s all.)

But In this case we can all be happy, because here’s an article about little Gizmo, the dog in the photo. http://stories.barkpost.com/littlest-bookseller/

OMG this doggo is adorable! If I saw this little nugget on my daily subway ride, I wouldn’t be nearly as grumpy.
