How on earth did he get up there like that?

Also, is that a wooden shelf in the shower?

I think you’re right — it seems to match the overall strangeness of the scene! That cannot be a normal cat, it’s a chimera, a mix of cat and bat… a striped CATBAT!! sleeps hanging all day, but beware of the catbat at night…

I really hope this isn’t real.

Is the cat actually hugging itself?
    What happened?

He just felt lonely for a moment and needed a hug. It sometimes happens to monsters as well.

There’s a TV ad in the UK for an opticians which summarises such mistakes nicely: “Should have gone to Specsavers!”

    Poor little guy looks catatonic

That’s not a cat; that’s just the cat’s clothes hung up to dry.

😀 But just see what happens when you take them down to be pressed.

Maybe that’s why cats sleep so much, they quasi-hibernate like their winged relatives.

I agree with the vote down. That doesn’t look cute…it looks dangerous.

Have you ever owned a cat?

      • michael August 16, 2017 / 2:52 pm

My parents did. I have not had the pleasure.

Cats do this stuff to themselves all the time. Sometimes they fall on their face. Usually they don’t. For every time you witness them doing something stupid, they’ve done a dozen things just as dumb when you weren’t looking or were asleep. You’ve got to, like, put knives away and watch the stove like a hawk, but I’m having a hard time imagining this particular cat is in danger unless there’s a bunch of badgers salivating just out of frame.

My daughter’s cat is like this, always hanging on the top of doors by her belly, with her head on one side, tail end hanging off the other. My daughter does stop to take pictures, because she can’t reach to take the cat down, since she is only about 5′ 2″ tall. She has to wait for her SO, or his son to reach her.

Trust me, this is both funny and entirely catsafe.

      Yep, cats:

This is snortingly funny – Mike, – well, what can a person say. Scottish fold, indeed.

  10. Flowerfanatic August 16, 2017 / 6:04 pm

Since I know about Scottish Folds, I expected to see FOLDED EARS, not a whole cat!! Strange indeed.

Judging by the exotic-looking coat pattern, maybe it’s one of those wild cat mixes with even more incredible acrobatic skill of walking on shower rods?
