Sometimes the life of a high-profile, Internet-famous cat like Maru isn’t as great as it seems. For one thing, having your entire life shown on YouTube leaves him with very little privacy. It’s like living in a… in a place where… um… people always see you. (There’s probably a catchy phrase for this, but I can’t seem to think of it.)

My thoughts exactly. Can cats roll their eyes? Because I feel like Hana must do that a lot.
Same here – he runs out to face his next challenge and she settles down in that “This should be good” sort of attitude. He doesn’t look all that thrilled. I am having a realization about Maru. This is performance art. Like Christo covering things up, Maru’s art is getting into things, and like all artistic endeavors some pieces are more successful than others. He’s realized in this instance that some tweaking (twerking?) is required.
Maru is justifiably famous. Mugumogu really should be just as well-known. Her stage-direction and videography are equal to Maru’s charisma. Boxisma. Vesselisma. Containerisma.
She gets the best seat to all the fun XD
Maru just gets sillier and sillier. If he had been able to squeeze his circleness into that bowl, it would have been proof positive that cats are at least 50% liquid.

No, he was in an incredibly enemy box a while back – you couldn’t even see the box for all of his floofiness. He had that same disgruntled look on his face then. “I’m doing something wrong but what can it be?” Then he fastidiouly replays the steps in his mind………. HAHAHA just kidding – I don’t think Maru has an iota of fastidiousness about him.
He seemed to take a dim view of the fact that his body would not fit.
