Bouncing Baby Bunnies

These lops love to hop. And climb. And chew. And even get into slo-mo car crashes. But at the end of another busy bunny day, they’re ready to crash in another way.

I have raised several little Holland Lop bunnies over the years. I subscribe to her link and get to enjoy those wee little ones whenever she posts a video. They are my favorite breed. I like them because they stay small. My first bunny (when I was 9) was a HUGE red-eyed white named Bucky. He would make about 4 adult Holland Lops as they stay very small. I’ve also raised American Fuzzy Lops which differ only in that they have longer fur than the regular Hollands. And are they ever soft!!! They’re just plain precious!!

So far, three Bunday pics- yeah! We’ve let our bunnehs hop, climb and walk all over us. When we laid on the floor, our two buns would get on our backs, till the one bun pushed the other one off. He wanted to be “king of the hill.” My current bun, Pepper, would jump on us when we were lying on our sides and walk up and down our sides, as if on a balance beam. I don’t mind being jungle gym for any bunneh. Those bebehs are dedly, adorable.

That was a lethal level of cute. The solid one with the lopsided ears was especially adorable. I don’t expect to get anything more done today, thanks to my brain being ded.

Ah, this is the one we almost got early. The waiting was the hardest part. Yes, lethal dose of adorability. The shite and caramel one with the floppier ears looks like what my Clementine might’ve looked like as a baby. She was a year or so old when I got her. I do worry about people breeding rabbits since they’re the 3rd most populous animals in shelters, but she certainly keeps them well and socializes them.

I’m pretty sure you meant “white and caramel” there.

Storm update: The storm may not be as severe in my area as first forecast. Official estimates for wind speed have been lowered, and at the moment there’s a lot of rain and modest winds. Ani hasn’t left the front porch since this morning, sitting in her favorite spot by the screen and watching the rain come down. Stay safe and dry, everybody.
