Gluttony Loves Company

That’s a big pizza. That’s a really big pizza. I don’t think the term “deep dish” even begins to describe this pizza. This is more like a “wading pool” style pizza. I don’t think I could eat this entire pizza by myself. So why don’t you sit here and watch me?

Food just tastes better when someone else watches you eat it.

    That’s not a pizza, it’s a marinara Jacuzzi! πŸ˜€

? Methinks a trick of perspective is to blame for this????

On a different note, I’d been trying to get in touch with my brother and SIL since yesterday – they live just south of Santa Rosa – no cell service or land line – and finally got an email from them a little while ago that they were evacuated yesterday, 9AM their time, and are staying with friends in Marin County along with their fairly newly acquired Scotties. I can breathe a bit easier. But they don’t know if their home will survive, given that these fires are so swift moving. And apparently a new fire broke out in Oakland! Yeow. Keeping my fingers crossed.

πŸ™ Iam sending rain (we have plenty) and purrs.

Here autumn got skipped, from hot summer we switched to early December weather. It is so strange to see frozen windscreens in the morning in October. Unfortunately our gas heater went out of order so Iam off to chop some wood.

Wow – you are intrepid, Ems!

πŸ™‚ I could use some beaver help, but we only have kitties πŸ™‚

Me, too, Murray, C. I’m glad your family are okay. The news from the area is just awful.

So sorry to hear they have such troubles, but grateful they and their fur-babies made it out safely. Prayers that home is okay.

          Thanks, guys, I appreciate it.☺️

I think that pizza weights more than the kitty and the plate combined

I’ve had the original Chicago deep dish pizza, but even at the first UNO’s restaurant, it was only about half that thick! Someone went crazy making that pool of pizza!

Haha I must show this post to my dear Felix. He looks like the kitty in the picture and he is hungry only when he is awake.

Eating in front of others? Nah…
I have been constantly criticised for my eating habits, so I very rarely eat in public. Thankfully my cats aren’t the critical kind so at least at home I can eat what I like πŸ™‚

Anyone who picks on your eating habits should mind their own manners (I’m not a public eater, either – I prefer takeout).

Hold back my whiskers, I’m goin’ in! πŸ˜€

To call this thing pizza is a real offence against Italians. The text is funny as usually. πŸ™‚

My favorite pizza is from a local place that has super-thin crust. Deep dish pizza is just not on my radar.

    • Wuyizidi October 10, 2017 / 4:36 pm

When you got stuff inside the crust versus on top, it’s a pie. This is like the above the ground pool of pizza πŸ™‚

        ??? – good one.

His owner must have gotten fed up with the kitteh complaining every time the bottom of the food bowl became visible πŸ˜‰

Mmmmmmm, that looks like my favorite Chicago pizza, Giordano’s. It’s not just deep dish, it’s stuffed! Which means two delicious layers of dough with a ridiculously thick filling of cheese and toppings. Omnomnom.

Can we get a poll?Is Chicago deep dish pizza a pizza,or a casserole?I think the argument for casserole is compelling.Still good though!
