I Do… Believe You’re In My Shot

How do you make that special day even more special? With perfectly-timed wedding animal photobombs like these.

“And do you, Bethany, take Owlhead to be your lawfully wedded husband?”
“Just testing your auto-focus… Yep, it works.”
“Hope you guys are serving beluga caviar later.”
“No photos please, my clients wish to be alone.”
Someone said “train” and the dog though it was Gravy Train.
“YOO TAKIN A PITCHER? KIN AY BEE IN YER PITCHER TOO?”
“Bleah! Yucky goopy kissy-kissy stuff!”
“I… I never got to tell her how I truly feel…”

It’s like one of the story lines from Love Actually.

Haaa yes! It’s peculiar as I loved Love Actually for years etc, saw it in the theatre when it was first released and then last year I went to watch it and I was just not feeling it at all. I will try again this year and see if my ‘feels’ change.

Maybe don’t watch the Honest Trailer…

          😛

And yet that’s the most anticipated Christmas sequel.

            • fkaWaldenPond November 14, 2017 / 4:06 pm

Have you seen it recently Kar? I don’t know if I have grown out of it or it is not aging well.

And on a completely unrelated different topic — I could really go for a good Japanese bento box right now. Sushi, tempura, miso soup…a crisp beer… oh man.

              • Kar November 14, 2017 / 7:11 pm

It holds up ok, beter than the tepid sequel. ONly the Liam Neeson segment came close to the original.

As far as the Bento Box, I get it.

There’s one of those new conveyor belt sushi joints near me, it’s like Homer in Hell with donuts. “I don’t think he gets it…”

Going to dinner Thursday night but can’t decide, the killer schichuan place with chili dusted eggplant? the new Korean place with fluffy fried tofu planks and kfc chicken? The new handpulled chinese noodle place? The ridiculously delish tawainese street food place or the ridiculously good malaysian street food restaurant next to it. Kind of craving ethioppean but that’s more of a brunch thing where I live.

                  Sweet heavens, all sound delicious!

Oh man they all sounds so yummy, I’m drooling. ?

          I know what you mean.
When I was young, Coca Cola had their Santa Packs commercial starting about this time of year. Each year, the first time I heard the commercial start, I’d get shivers down my spine and I’d feel like I was eating a candy cane in the snow.
Now that I’ve learned how to behave in public (I refuse to grow up), I look forward to whatever gives me that same feeling. And if I feel desperate for the tingle, I go to YouTube.

Hilarious!! The crazy cat and the prairie dogs….snort!

I find it hard to imagine a professional photographer doing a planned photoshoot would be using autofocus, especially for artsy-style shots. That suggests that the photographer manually focused on the photobomber, and this makes me happy.

    • Brouhaha November 14, 2017 / 11:02 am

Agreed. They saw the shot, and took it.

It’s not like you have to charge for film….

Me, too. I would totally include that one in my print package, too.

I love animal photobombs. My favorite was the anti-PDA kitty.

    Something old
    Something new
    Something borrowed
    Something BOO!

  8. LunaChickFringe November 14, 2017 / 3:19 pm

I looked at some of the rest and I quite liked the cat’s backside one as well as the one where the nude dude was crawling up the rocks. ??

    • allein ? November 14, 2017 / 3:40 pm

I like the fuzzy Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. He looks angry that he’s out of focus.

      • LunaChickFringe November 14, 2017 / 4:54 pm

        He does!

I want to know if that wedding cinematographer from the first pic survived, that owl looked like he wanted to DIVE BOMB not just photobomb him.

  10. Michael November 15, 2017 / 4:21 am

Owlhead may be the best thing I’ve ever seen. It’s good even if the owl was part of the wedding (and I never heard of having trained birds of prey as wedding entertainment, but I’d believe anything) and was let loose at the wrong time, but if it wasn’t — if it was a wild owl — wow. In fact, focusing on it, are we sure that isn’t ‘shopped? Is it TOO good to be true? It’s daytime; why is an owl even awake? But if it’s legit, it’s the best thing ever. How did the photo get taken the EXACT INSTANT the owl was EXACTLY in between the lens and the groom’s head? And at exactly the right distance to be about the right size for his head?

On the other hand, while beluga is a lovely, funny, wonderful picture, if you take wedding photos in front of the beluga tank at an aquarium, is the beluga a photo bomb? Aren’t you HOPING the beluga will be in the shot? Isn’t the beluga, not merely swimming by, but pausing centered between bride and groom and “smiling” for the camera, not a bomb but the best result that could possibly have been hoped for? An accident, but a happy one?

Oh, and Love Actually stands up fine, for me. Of course, I had to watch it 3 times, read the Wikipedia plot summary twice, and study a chart before I could figure out how everyone was related (and I’m still not sure I got it), so, to me, repeat viewing is not merely rewarded but necessary. I didn’t watch all of the Honest Trailer but when they called it the Pulp Fiction of romantic comedy, they weren’t kidding. And Love Actually doesn’t even have to put things out of time order to be confusing! But at the end, when the heroic music swells as we see that taking a chance for love is the bravest thing humans do — when it treats romantic gestures the way only action climaxes are usually treated — I cry every time.
