By Cod, That’s Fresh Fish!

Cutetropolis is brought to you today by Polar Paul’s Fish-O-Mat™, for the freshest fish caught and served by our team of polar bears. (Not affiliated with Mrs. Paul’s.)

“Here’s your halibut, sir. Would you like tartar sauce with that?”

Polar bears are beautiful animals but it’s a good thing that’s a small window!

Seriously. They’re best appreciated at a distance.

Don’t panic! In case of emergency Submitter’s Uncle is armed with four whisks!

    This seems unwise.

The bear is kinda small. I think he might be a youngin.

I guess you can’t tell a polar bear, “Don’t touchy da fishy.”

Methinks Mr. Polar Bear will be back, and possibly not alone.

Teach a polar bear to fish that way, your just asking for trouble

Wow! On the one hand…how cool!! On the other hand…probably not something you want to encourage…

Yes, that’s a wow – and I agree, perhaps not the wisest thing to encourage. But so cool.

Kind of agree that this is not a wise choice. Bet Mr polar bear could open that kitchen like a can of sardines or a car stocked with picnic baskets in Yellowstone

I’m confused. It’s a research vessel, as in, ship. The window is a porthole — on a SHIP. Where is the bear? He’s not levitating in midair several feet above the water outside the porthole. This isn’t Harry Potter; he’s not on a broom. So … is there a deck outside the porthole? Is the ship in port? Did a bear walk up the gangplank, across the deck, and up to the porthole? They’ve got bears walking around the deck of the ship?

It almost seems like there MUST be more to this. It’s a pet bear or a captive bear or a rescue bear. However, while some bears can be domesticated pretty well, I never heard of polar bears — the only pure carnivores among the bears, terror of seals everywhere — being among them. So whatever the situation is, it’s strange and I’m confused.
