Want ‘Em? Come and Get ‘Em

Dear Valued Employee: We hope this message finds you well. As you may have heard, this is an exciting time of transition for our company, and as a result your position has been eliminated. Please return all company-issued ID badges, office supplies, and cats to the Human Resources office. Thank you and best of luck in your future endeavors.

Yeah, well screw THAT.

I believe you have my stapler, Sharon H.

I count 7. Wow, that is a lot of fur.

And yeah, if I get fired, the cat is coming with me.

Wait, as was established a few posts ago, I do not have a kitty on my keyboard. Why do I not have a kitty on my keyboard?!?!

I count 8. I think you missed the small kitty on the front pocket.

        You’re right, I did!

        Even more fur!

Me either. I still have my job. Where is my company-issued kitty? I shall have to put in a stern complaint to HR.

Can I request a pupper? I can clear out a drawer.

(PS This pic was on the Saturday, December 8 page of the 2012 Cute Overload Page-a-Day calendar, and is still on my cubicle wall (just above my 2017 Cutetropolis calendar!). The caption says

Just thinking of the upkeep for 8 long fur cats makes me anxious!!
I hope for his sake that his cats are not like my big white Maine coon because his under coat matts like crazy and he violently fights being brushed!

Since he still has his face and fingers intact (from what i can see) those cats are either docile or he’s taking them to the groomer for someone else to risk life and limb. ?

Reminds me of a wonderful street person in NYC in the 1970s … he had about 5 cats, mostly longhairs, and a sort of train made of little red wagons and tricycles tied together. The cats would pose on the train. They were well-kept and the whole thing was hilarious. Occasionally there was a litter of kittens in one of the wagons … wish I had a photo …

For some reason I see nine cats. Or is my vision failing?
On the footrest of the buggy, I can’t tell if there are two or three. There’s one facing off to the side, with cream ears. Then there’s one with dark ears, looking in the same direction. But is there one with dark ears between them, looking down, or is that just the way that sideways cat is coloured? I think I see a red leash attached to it, with an orange leash on sideways cat and a goldy leash on front ways cat.

Yeah, there’s one in the middle looking down. He’s the one I missed at first. I still count 8…though now I’m starting to question if the back right floof on the top is one kitty or two…

Is that one in his shirt pocket?

      • kodalai November 17, 2017 / 1:44 pm

I’m inclined to say one, since it’s the same shape and size (minus perspective shrinking) as the one right in front of it.

I really hope that this guy ha a lot of cat brushes and a LOT of lint brushes

I’m seeing eight cats – five gold in the top basket, three Himalayan type in the lower one (two looking to their left, and one in the middle looking down). I think the item in man’s shirt pocket is an eyeglasses case.
