Um, that’s not a glockenspiel, it’s a xylophone. Just sayin’.?

Simba is a beautiful Red Point Himalayan (Persian). His personality is exactly why I raised and showed Persians for 25 years. They’re very laid back and devoted. Kittens can be very silly at times just like all kittens but they develop that laid back personality and become cuddle buddies and couch potatoes!! Simba was the perfect choice for a calming effect for Kian. I hope all continued to go well with the family and Simba will be around for Kian for a long time.

Um, Max’s harness says Puppia on it. No wonder he doesn’t like it!!!

The story about the boy and his cat was heartbreaking! Wow, I hope she recovers.
Fiona’s kiss is heart-meltingly cute and the shameless critters are hilarious!

Our poor cat was traumatized last night by an invader cat who also apparently freaked out our neighbor’s cat since he was found up in a tree this morning and couldn’t get down. Fortunately, there’s a tree guy who is still willing to help out in that circumstance and Possum has been rescued! Our cat is being rather cautious about going out today.

Just when you think Fiona can’t get any cuter she goes and do this!

I went to check out Simba’s Facebook page and found out that he is now home but not completely well, the post of the mother describing how the cat cried and howled to be let out of the crate so he could be with his best friend and how he alerted them of 2 incidents with the boy’s breathing brought tears to my eyes.

I think hearing that he CRAWLED ACROSS THE FLOOR WITH TWO BROKEN LEGS to comfort his boy made me teary.

Fiona’s so self-aware! I think she totally understands what a camera is, and that people come to see her, and she loves to entertain them and make them happy.

    Tears here, too.

How can a hippo be that cute?
I love the pets stealing partners pics. Sophie loves my husband more than me, when she hears his truck pull in she starts barking and squealing with joy, until he finally comes in the door. I think it’s adorable how happy she is to see him. She prefers to sleep under my blanket at night though, mostly because he tosses and turns, wraps himself up like a burrito in his blanket, and there’s no room for her in there.

Melody’s the same way with my husband. She gets *ridiculously* excited for her beloved daddy, but only about 25% or less for me. It’s so blatant it’s just plain funny!

Of course, our golden, Rusty (he was very red-coated), was utterly devoted to me; Daddy was only good for trips to the dog beach. ??

I am not sure if my kitties love my mother more than me, but they definitely obey her. It is so annoying when I have been calling their names for half an hour and no reaction, if Mum calls them, the kitties immediately come running 🙂
The same happens when I need to lure them into the cat carrier. I can hadly trick them in with the help of treats, favourite toys, whatever. My mother opens the carrier and tells the cats to go in and they do…

Sounds like your mom’s Cat-speaking skills are superior to yours, Ems. Or maybe, because you’re a monster, they’re scared of you. Either makes good sense to me. (But I’m weird, so YNK.)

Fiona never stops bringing the cute!

Hope Simba makes a speedy and full recovery–poor sweetie. He has such a special bond with his boy, it melts my heart.

Pets *will* steal your honey–and it’s hilarious.

I also checked the fundraiser for Simba’s vet bills (£18,000 thus far!) and was glad to see that they’re less than £500 away. So that’s good to know; 5the NHS doesn’t have pet coverage, I assume! And for a therapy pet for an autistic boy, it makes sense that people would want to help.

And when I read that one of the librarians is allergic to cats, Max not being allowed in makes more sense. It’s not fair to ask someone to work in an environment that triggers allergies, even for a handsome ginger kitty!

    • debg December 4, 2017 / 1:22 pm

Allergies suck! So glad I haven’t developed any, though I’ve triggered allergies in friends just through the cat hair on my clothing. (Still sorry about that, Drew.)

      • Laura December 4, 2017 / 3:02 pm

I had a job where a coworker absolutely *bathed* in a perfume that gave me massive asthma attacks. Yeah, allergies suck. And with a wussy management who wouldn’t do anything, I left quickly. For a job with better pay and benefits, and lovely bosses. Broke my heart, I tell you! ??

I wonder what our Poet Laureate (i.e., Not That Mike, The Other Mike) could contribute to the versed responses to the “Don’t let Max the Cat in the Library” poster… 🙂

      • jerzowa December 4, 2017 / 5:29 pm

        ?

    • Kar December 4, 2017 / 8:15 pm

I’d buy that book. I’d probably buy both.

Espeically if we odn’t have that coffee table book.

  12. Kar December 4, 2017 / 8:18 pm

BTW, who ever heard of a pet prairie dog? And also sleeps with him?

    • dubravkamcvmd December 4, 2017 / 10:28 pm

Another great animal I’d love to have that I’m certain is not allowed in NYC. I’m sure it’s for the best. Sigh.

      • Kar December 5, 2017 / 1:06 am

In NYC? The rats would have him for breakfast. Both the Upper and Lower side subspecies.

Forgot to ask earlier: is it wrong that I’m fiercely jealous of Fiona’s kissee? i want to be that little girl!

    • jerzowa December 5, 2017 / 8:17 am

      Me too!
