The sign says “stop.” And yet it is green. And green means “go.” But the sign says “stop.” And yet it is green. And green means “go.” But the sign says “stop.” And yet it is green. And green means “go.” But the sign says “stop.” And yet…
Classic case of mixed signals, Sharon H.
I’m so confused!
“Should I stay or should I go, now?”
Given the height of the sign, who is it really for?
Yes.
Garden gnomes?
?
Classic, Allein! I almost snorted by chicken soup out and ruined a company monitor.
Oops.

Stop typing .. stop moving .. stop breathing .. JUST STOP (Holds breath)
I can totally imagine the lizard singing “Don’t stop me now”
Maybe he has some important errand to run.
This is probably a sign from the Galapagos Islands. I’ve found a blog post which includes a picture of an iguana looking at such a sign: [link redacted at reader request]
I haven’t read the entire post, which is rather long, so proceed at your own risk. A cursory examination tells me it’s *probably* free of Very Upsetting Things, but I can’t be sure.
Free of Very Upsetting Things! I love it! I would like to hire someone to act as sort of a minesweeper for me, going through all written materials to determine whether they are free of Very Upsetting Things.
Well, we can’t always be free of them, of course. But in a site dedicated to The Qte, rather than The News, it seems a reasonable hope.
It’s not.
At the end of the post is prelude to a post about a popular pet that is also dinner in South America, with graphic photo.
Oh, dear! VERY sorry, Murkle46! VERY sorry everyone! I will try to be more careful in future. 🙁
Mike, can you take my link down? Or edit my post to say that it DOES contain Very Upsetting Things at the end?
Maybe Mr. Lizard put the sign up. As a sort of protest.
In other news, I got my Cutetropolis calendar today!!! It looks great this year!!!! I allowed myself a quick flip-thru to glance at the photos but I didn’t let myself read all the words or the names of the “holidays” that are listed throughout. Money very, very well spent, everyone! Order yours today! Operatorobots are standing by!
I got mine on Saturday and did the same thing, Birdcage! Love it so much!!!!
Gosh, I haven’t heard a peep about mine – I ordered it quite a while ago. How long did yours take to get to you?
Murray, if you got a confirmation email from Lulu, it should contain a link that you can click to see tracking information about your order.
Thanks, Mike – somehow I’d missed my confirmation in the way-too-many emails I get. All I know is that it shipped last Thursday, around 7 in the evening. So given that it takes at least 5 business days, I probably won’t get it ’til the earliest this Thursday.
Mine shipped last Monday and I think I got it on Friday.
I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of mine!
After reading this, my brain hurts.
