Don’t Monkey Around With That

“Hah! Get a load of Mr. Bad Biker Dude over here! Sitting there trying to look all cool and stuff, like he really knows how to ride a motorcycle! Don’t make me laugh, Brando — I’ll bet you can’t even get this thing started!”

(Hmm, I wonder what this red button does.)

Head out on the highway …

Is it wrong that I want to see these monkeys weigh in on Horse Twitter? (If you don’t know what that is, google it.)

Hopefully, the red button ejects the loud-mouthed backseat passenger.

This is exactly what I suspected about fellow drivers this morning. If it is posted here, it must be true.

That first monkey looks so blissful!! I don’t want to tell him that he’s not moving.

Sad threadjack: itโ€™s official FCC just voted to end Obama-area net neutrality.

      I can’t even.

Sigh. ? I’ve been sitting and getting depressed waiting for it to happen. Although this a part of Trump’s plan to tear down all things Obama, net neutrality was the internet’s guiding principle since before it became a public resource in 1995. Obama’s FCC invoked Title 2 protections in order to preserve what we had always had.

I wish I could be surprised by any of this stuff at this point. ๐Ÿ™

You gave us hope on November 9th 2016 so I say to you now, hang on, let’s see what happens.

      Damn.

Hopefully telcoms hold off on doing anything *too* unpleasant out of fear the next administration will reverse this.

Or we all die in nuclear hellfire. Either/or.

Or fear of a customer revolt?

(Given that I currently have 1 option for internet (about to have 2 when Fios gets finished in my complex), not sure that’s much of a threat.)

Apparently the large providers say they’re not changing anything.

          I’ll believe that when I see it….

Every time I hope they won’t, they disappoint me and do.

It’s easy to cause havoc and destruction when you really don’t care about anything except what goes into your pocket and the pockets of those who pay you, or you’re hoping will pay you.

Itโ€™s all bad enough. But the gleeful hypocritical religiosity makes my skin crawl. None of it surprises me. They have met my expectations in their ability to do harm to anyone who is not like them. Iโ€™m waiting for midterm and 2020 elections.

To think there was a time when we looked at Ronald Reagan and thought “Well, at least the USA can never have a more grotesquely inept president…”

      • Amyliz December 14, 2017 / 8:06 pm

I would take Reagan or Bush back in a second over what we have now and I was never a fan of either one. I do, however, feel a glimmer of hope because of the Alabama election results. Keep the faith, everyone…positive change and progress are hard-won and slow-moving.

I’ll admit I voted for Reagan in ’84 but I was only in fourth grade so I don’t think it counted. ๐Ÿ˜‰

BTW, I’ve been humming the Winnie the Pooh theme song all day.
