Menlo Park, California, 1968 — looking for an easier way to move a cursor across the screen, inventor Douglas Englebart experiments with pencil and paper, an Etch-A-Sketch, and a Ouija board, all without success. Frustrated, he rests his hand on his desk, where it comes into contact with a furry visitor. And from that humble moment of discovery, the computer hamster was born.
Via Twitter.
He looks just like my Apple Magic Mouse™ except a little more furry.
OMG the leelte pawsies!
So… who else immediately googled “who invented the computer mouse” to see if it was really Douglas Englebart?
Where can I get one?!?!? Would be doubly useful by keeping my hand warm while I move the cursor !
Definitely better than a ouija board. Who knows what those spirits are spelling?
I would also be very careful with summoning anything.
Pfft – that is awesome! 😀
Ha! 😀
