    Please?

    (I don’t want a q-tip, though; I want the hammy.)

(And don’t use q-tips to dig wax out of your ears, please.)

Pleeze, pretty pleeze…with carrots nuts and lettuce on top.

    Awwww. What a Q-tee-pie.

Awww… that hamster looks just like my Illya Kurakin (who turned out to be a female, after my other hammie Napoleon got ahold of her!)

I always said Napoleon Solo was a ham!

oh silly hammie, you don’t want a q-tip, you want to sit in my hand. Don’t you?

That hammie looks huge. Is it the scale of the little table and q-tip container (small/large) or is it a true rodent of unusual size?

    • Gigi The cat lady January 9, 2018 / 11:15 am

If the blue satin thingy on the top shelf is in fact as I believe a hair scrunchy then I don’t think hammie is a ROUS. He just looks big compared to the tiny stuff around him.

I think it’s going to take more than a “please” to wrest those Q-tips from that Hammie – he’s looking rather protective of them.

My type is still huge despite having closed down my computer over night – maybe it knows I’m old and has decided I need the Readers Digest big print edition of Cutetropolis.

Murray C, what computer do you use (Mac, Windows 10, Windows 8) and what browser are you using? Do you see the same problem when you comment on any other blogs?

It’s possible that something in your computer settings or your browser settings has changed, possibly by accident.

I have a MAC desktop OS X El Capitan – Safari is my browser? I think? (I get those words messed up between search engine, etc.) I’m not having the issue with anything else.

Hmmm. I have a Mac and sometimes the type gets huge but I think it’s a mouse thing. When I close the bowser and reopen the type is normal.

I just discovered how to find “reload” – you have to right-click on the mouse and a little menu comes up. I did that but it made no difference in the type size. Though I just right-clicked again and it’s no longer there. And now I found it again – zcheesh, make up your mind MAC! Hmmmmm…..you have to click outside the comment box is what I’m figuring out.

Maybe you accidentally change the zoom? Not sure where to find that on a mac, but in Chrome it’s under the little menu that looks like 3 vertical dots at the top right. (I do it accidentally sometimes by either hitting Ctrl and the + or – sign, or Ctrl and scrolling the mouse wheel.) Sometimes when I change the zoom it remembers it for that site even after I close and reopen the browser, but other sites are at 100% like normal.

I also have a Mac with OX El Capitan, try this go to View at the top, click on Zoom out in the menu. You may have to do it a few times.

Hey, I think it worked! Thanks, GiGi! I’ll have to see if it maintains at this size.

              Glad I could help.

Thanks to all who came to my assistance! You are all bricks. And you persist!

On another subject – have we heard from DEBG how Ursula is doing?

And how are all the folks who were suffering from various and sundry seasonal diseases – was it Birdcage and Patty? We had our party on Saturday and many folks couldn’t come at the last minute because whatever’s going around apparently comes on fast and furious. Stay well, all! Wash your hands, sneeze into the crook of your arm – clean up later!?

She said she has an abscess and they were going to drain it and put her antibiotics.

    • fkaWaldenPond January 9, 2018 / 12:34 pm

Heya Murray, I was one of the seasonal rotten cold sufferers. I stayed home from work two days last week it was such a kicker. I still have lingering cough which is quite irritating and so I am drinking fluids with my fluids!

Hopefully the antibiotics have started to kick in re Ursula and she is feeling better. πŸ™‚

      • Murray C January 9, 2018 / 3:51 pm

I hope it all dissipates soon – before you dissipate!? (all those fluids on fluids! whatever can you mean?)

    • Debg January 10, 2018 / 1:07 am

Ursula is starting to recover already. The abscess is still draining (and wow does that pus stink) but Miss Girl seems perkier without a swollen head. Good timing on her part, as I don’t start the new job until next week.

      • Murray C January 10, 2018 / 2:37 pm

I’m so relieved! My cat just went through having an abscess and the smell is what gave it away. I was familiar with THAT because I’d been through dealing with an infection with a rabbit – I was trying to bond two males who were doing so-so. Then my one rabbit started running about like mad and tearing at his dewlap and then I smelled the infection. The other bun had torn it partially off! I applied that iodine solution that surgeons use for scrubbing up – can’t think of the name – Betadyl? and by the time I got him to the vet he was pretty well cured – no surgery needed!

I’m so happy, DEBG!! YAY for Ursula.
