Where are the keys? Get in already. No! I’m driving but you’ll have to work the pedals.

Hey peeps, why is it I can play video from youtube but no videos from twitter– I get ‘media cannot be played’ message. It frustrates me to no end. Is it that flash adobe thingy being blocked? How can I change this?
and btw, this video is hilarious. 😀

I can’t play Twitter videos except on Twitter if I’m on my phone or tablet. So I just click over to Twitter and watch it, then rerun to my starting website afterwards. I have no idea why Twitter videos are so hard to deal with, but my workarou d solves the problem for me.

Hey, it’s Wombat Wednesday! I got places to be!

Meanwhile, is it bad that all I could think of was the fact that my short, stubby legs wouldn’t get over that fence very well? I’m 5’4″ and 5′ of that is torso.

Of course, if I had a nice chubby wombat to break my fall, maybe I wouldn’t mind so much…?

I was thinking the same thing! As she approached the fence, I thought “hey, there’s no gate, how will she get past?” and then she just stepped right over like it was nothing! I’m only 5’1″, so in stature I’m closer to the wombat than the lady.

I’m right there with you, at 5’2″ (and wombatless, sob).

5’1&1/2”. Cutetropolis will need to be stocked with step stools and step ladders.

Better yet, bins with treats to give as thanks for the elephants if we ask them nicely and they reach and get down the high things for us. ?

Oh I soOo needed a Wombat today. Even an impatient one. :D!

  6. bananabreadhead January 17, 2018 / 2:00 pm

Mike — your writing is brilliant! You capture the tone of an impatient and put-upon wombat perfectly.

I’m happy to report that I just purchased a very big handbag that, if I carried it in front of me with both hands like it weighted 40 pounds, and if you aren’t wearing your glasses, resembles a wombat. I like this bag even more now.

    • HaHa January 17, 2018 / 3:06 pm

So, you bought yourself a wombag?

      • allein ? January 17, 2018 / 3:08 pm

(Seriously, google image search “wombat tote bag”… you won’t be disappointed.)

    • debg January 17, 2018 / 10:13 pm

You just gave me a great idea to sew a wombat tote similar to my stuffie–I’ll just make it hollow so it can hold my knitting.

“Wombat Awareness Week”? Are they insinuating that we shouldn’t be CONSTANTLY aware of wombats?!

What would have made it even funnier if Mike had named the female keeper Sheila, which is Aussie slang for a woman. Either way, this is just too funny and too cute. I seriously need to move to Australia and become a wombat carer.
