Um, Let’s Talk About This First

On the one hand, it’s beautiful, nature’s blanket in all its purity and perfection, yadda yadda, I get that. On the other hand, cold cold cold whiskers freezing can’t feel my pawpads cold cold coooooooold!

Verdict: Let’s go back to the car.

I’m with you, Hildegard! 14 degrees when I left this morning! Still couldn’t feel my fingers by the time I got to work.

I don’t really mind cold, but 14 is into the range where it causes obnoxious problems for areas that don’t normally get that cold, like heat pumps not working right and your windshield washer fluid nozzle freezing up.

Took a week off work a while back and didn’t drive anywhere. First day back to work I needed a jump from my neighbor.

Yeah, I was having trouble with my washer fluid a couple weeks ago when it was below 10 in the morning. First it got blocked on the driver’s side (of course) by snow, then it was empty, but after I refilled it it took forever to work its way up through the line, then I think it froze the next day. Luckily it seems to have settled down now.

Me too – my washer fluid was empty and I spent two weeks using a plastic squirt bottle (I bought my car pretty recently, and I just couldn’t face figuring out how to prop the hood up and find the reservoir during that Arctic Hellapalooza).

Turns out, after reading the manual, it’s just like my old car…but that squirt bottle actually works really well in a pinch!

            Good to know!

It didn’t get up to the 50 degrees the weather channel told me it would, but mid 40s is better than the negative temps we had earlier in the week. I never want to go out in the cold. Hopefully I can con the husband into picking up chicken on his way home, so I don’t have to go to a steak house for our anniversary dinner tonight. I’m hungry and don’t want to mess with that wait time.

I’m with you kitty! And, Hildegard is such a great name for a cat. ?

With a name like Hildegarde, was expecting a Viking Kitty who only truly feel at home in the outdoor winter wonderland 🙂

I’m with Hildegarde. Indoors is the place to be. I have to go out tonight, but at least it will be in the high 20s. That’s more than cold enough for me.

I haven’t been out for days – I’ve been really sick and it seems to just go on and on with the cough and the blowing – and so dizzy! Bleah, can’t wait ’til it’s over.
