Baby rhino is a showoff in the shower
A baby one-horned rhino at the Toronto Zoo wasn’t too keen on taking his very first shower, but by the time zookeepers took this video, the chubby baby was splashing and rolling with joy. The yet-to-be-named calf, the zoo’s first newborn of 2018, is not on public display, but is said to be doing well, bonding with his mother, and will be ready to play outdoors in the spring. He looks like an assemblage of roast beef slices that somebody glued googly eyes onto. I have no idea how that combines to be cute, but by golly it does.
I was trying to figure it out too–roast beef with the googly eyes works for me!
Mmm roast beef slices. Now I’m hungry, time to go find something for lunch. But um yeah, getting back to Mr. Roly Poly, very cute and I love how he rolls aound on the ground. Oooh, rolls, roast beef on a nice soft kaiser roll sounds really good right now with some mustard and provolone. I don’t have a one track mind now do I??
How about some horseradish to give it some zest?
Throw it in there too, that sounds awesome. I was good though and got a chicken, arugala and cous cous salad with some gluten free crispbread. Wasn’t bad but nothing beats a nice rare roast beef and provolone sandwich.
Proof that the young of all species* enjoy jumping about in puddles.
*Except cats.
Amazing and adorable. It’s amazingly adorable!
Love kitty leg shakes–they crack me up every time.
Yes, love those little shakes – this cat is amazing! Who’d’a thunk? And the thing cats do making up stuff, as if they see something and track it and there’s nothing there at all. Very creative.
I could watch that on a continuous loop.
aw, who is the cute little happy baby boy? You are!
And the dangling participle tell me this is definitely a boy!
Name: Hamhino
He’s a little ham he is
His joy reminds me of the baby gorilla yesterday.
Agreed, but I’d think twice before tickling a rhino. Even a small one.
We had a nephew who worked with rhino rescue in Africa and one day he was in the bush with some people and he walked up to a rhino and stroked it – he had recognized it as one he’d taken care of previously.
No tickling baby rhino with mama circling around him that’s for sure!
I want to name him Splash.
Adorable, happy baby makes me happy!?
I don’t know why, but baby rhinos just bowl me over with their cuteness. They always have.
This little guy bowled himself over.
For me, it’s their giant feet, and those serious little faces.
The smooshy-flat-foot-pads and three? toe nails!
