That horse was like, “OMGosh! It’s so cold! It’s so cold! It’s so cold! My toesies!”

And I always have to cheer for Grumpy Cat. I just can’t get enough of her adorable face.

    Such good links today!

Who wouldn’t love to cuddle with Coco the bling woodchuck and I’m very glad (as is her human) that Baloo is now bringing leaves as gifts and not live birds and mice.

Also I wish my room was as nice as Molly’s!

I’m a little disappointed in the woodchuck story – they noted that she snores, but didn’t provide video proof 🙁

Little dogs with their own little bedrooms make me happy. And a little jealous, because my room isn’t that nice.

    700k .. that’s a lotta Lotte

How do they *know* it took them three days to notice the woodchuck…? Glad everything worked out for Coco.

    Go Grumpy Cat!

I want a room like Molly’s–so snuggy under the stairs. And I bet Catelyn will want to join Molly in there, as soon as she’s mobile.

Such a brave pony, such a spectacular leap!

Um, wow. Metro is a slightly odd (not the good way) site, isn’t it? Maybe just me, but still, good to know I’m not yet entirely inured to such sidebar ick.

Good point – I guess they really mean it took them three days to decide to help. Better late than never and it worked out wonderfully.

Beth – I see what you mean about Metro. I paid absolutely no attention to the stuff on the side when I was reading the story about Baloo. So I went back and looked at the sidebars and they do have a lot of inappropriate material!

Mike – we might want to avoid that website.

Harry Potter should have tried to copy Molly’s room! He would have loved it!

You hit another home run with this collection of links, Mike. Each one is better than the others — I love ALL the stories! (Although I must admit I have never, ever seen Jackass, an achievement I plan to continue!)

My then-boyfriend made me watch Jackass when the movie came out on DVD. I was more entertained than I expected to be.

    • Brouhaha January 26, 2018 / 10:45 am

I thoroughly enjoyed Jackass, and Steve O was my favorite. So glad to see he’s doing well an has a sweet anipal. I also just read he recently got engaged.

It’s basically the “Ow My Balls” show from Idiocracy, only the cast members are varying levels of self-aware.

I watched a segment on TV where some Finnish guys who had a show inspired by Jackass came to America for a visit. They were walking along and a Finn pointed at the ground and said “what’s that?” Steve-O or whoever replied “that’s a fire ant nest.” Without a moment of hesitation the Finnish dude said “I’m going to put my bum on it.” Pants drop, butt goes down, yelling ensues. The Jackass guys stood, gaping in mute horror.

It’s one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen and I can’t even begin to explain why. It tickled a place in my brain that is ancient, primal, and very, very dumb.

He’s lucky he didn’t end up in the hospital! My husband once, on some wet ground, broke through the top layer of grass and sod and found himself up to his ankle in a fire ant nest. He had to use medication for *two months* just to stop the itching, and he’ll have scars from it for the rest of his life! Those things are EVIL. Fortunately, we ran to a drugstore and I put both Benadryl and hydrocortisone creams on him, and was ready to call 911 if he went into anaphylactic shock. I’m serious! They kill livestock, so a person would be no challenge!

          D:

The scary thing is entomologists who’ve been stung by pretty much everything say they’re basically middle of the scale as far as pain goes. Top of the scale are bullet ants and pepsis wasps. It’s hard to imagine.

I too have a small unused space under the stairs. One day I intend to turn it into a miniature room for my hoped-for foster kittens.

Such a cute horsey <3 hehe

    • Alice Shortcake January 26, 2018 / 11:38 am

That’s more or less my reaction when I have to leave the house on a snowy/icy day, only with less cuteness and no kicking up of heels (‘cos it’s icy).

        • allein ? January 26, 2018 / 12:30 pm

          nooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

I should have learned from previous experience never to complain about an English winter when there is a Canadian in the room.

            • allein ? January 26, 2018 / 12:43 pm

I’m only in New Jersey, but it’s rather cold outside…and also at my desk.

              • debg January 26, 2018 / 9:09 pm

You guys are killing me! I’m dying with laughter here.

I was shivering when I wrote that.
