I love William the rescue kitty, such a cute little face!

And there must be something with the name Cora, because William’s best friend Cora the Pit Bull and Cora the Corgi the service dog in training are the both special souls.

I bet the little white cat defending the fishies is called Cora!

It seems that Coras are the goodest of dogs!

Baby meerkats can come burlge me any time.

I have an ad literally in the middle of Gigi’s comment. Is this a new thing?

I’ve never seen anything like that. May be a rendering bug. Try hitting Control+F5. That re-gets the page, rather than using cached files and scripting.

Failing that, if you’re using Chrome (not mobile) or Firefox (mobile or regular) there’s a free browser extension called uBlock Origin. It adds a button to the control bar that lets you configure what it blocks. By default it blocks all ads, but you can whitelist sites you want to support (like this one) and then disable specific problem ads by right clicking on them and clicking the option with the little red shield.

I came back to the page from the link in your comment notification email and the ad was still there, but then hit F5 and it disappeared. Weird. I’ve seen ads on other sites that are in between comments, but never seen one that is actually inside one comment.

Explanation: I’ve enabled a feature from Google ads that lets their system insert ads in locations it considers suitable. It seems to make odd decisions sometimes. Sorry about that.

            Ah, okay.

So I’m Google suitable? Should I be flattered or insulted LOL!!

I’ve been getting them mid-comment recently too – doesn’t worry me now that I know what they are.

I touchie da fi……”Wha….Dude, are you serious?!”

Love the touchie da fishie conflict; what is that kitty thinking?

And Wisdom is so unbelievable, the way she keeps on keeping on. The Cornell Ornithology Lab has a Laysan albatross nest cam from Kauai, Hawaii. Come for the adorable chicks, stay to see the parents doing their silly walk:

I love the look the gray kitty gives the white kitty. “Dude, you hit me!”

Maybe white kitty is just waiting for gray kitty to back off so he can have the fishies to himself…

Those little albatrosslets are so cute!

And now for something completely different:

That was wonderful. I wonder what the fish were thinking.

I love this! Thanks for posting it.

Excellent linkies. Wisdom the albatross blew me away—didn’t realize birds could live so long in the wild. Sweet William, and the Coras, and the meerkittens, and the tamanduas, make me all warm and fuzzy. Cora the corgi’s ability to sense grief does NOT surprise me—animals know us better than we know ourselves. I’m home sick today and Josephine is currently curled up next to me, purring her heart out and staring deep into my eyes, because she wants me to feel better. She’s a world-class purrer.

You can gauge the size of the Meerkats (meerkittens?) by the fact that the front one is standing in a human boot-print – so little!

Also, their keeper ‘Maz Boz’ – with a name like that, s/he seriously needs a role in the next ‘Mad Max’ movie.

Also…a Tamandua! In a pink nursery! My day is complete.
