I have some giant palm sized strawberries all sliced up on my desk for later.

It’s strawberry season in Louisiana… one of the only times I really miss that dysfunctional state! I sent NTMTOM a picture of a teeny tiny snail eating a teeny tiny strawberry… I hope he’ll have time to post it here in the comments!
Please accept my most heartfelt condolences on your recent loss. Finding the perfect mug, with just the right volume, heft, and handle is no easy task. I wish you well on your journey.

Allein, I too have suffered a great loss. This morning a washing-machine related accident deprived me of my favourite black t-shirt, a garment which has been one of the staples of my wardrobe for well over 25 years. Yes, it was old. Yes, it was cheap (about Β£3.99). But the thought that never again will I enjoy its cosy poly-cotton embrace is sad indeed.

You guys are killing me today. Sorry for the tea mug and tee shirt, but I’m not sorry that I laughed so hard. Still at home trying to recover from this awful cold.

Allein and Alice Shortcake: Your experiences remind me of one of my favorite sayings: βI have lost my favorite teacup. I have two choices. I can have lost my teacup and be miserable. I can have lost my teacup and be alright. In either case, the teacup is goneβ.

No, I broke one of the little ceramic spoons that goes with my lovely set of hot chocolate mugs, They are so cute – I still have three but somehow it’s not the same as having the four mugs with the four little spoons sticking out of them in the cupboard. WAH! Know, Allein and Alice, that I know your sorrow.

My sugar bowl came with a cute little spoon. I fumbled the bowl and dropped the lid and spoon, and the spoon broke. I contemplated gluing it back together but decided not to bother. So I found a small teaspoon at Bed, Bath & Beyond (they have bins of individual pieces of silverware for a couple bucks each) to use instead.

We need to remember that there are people in the world who have never had the opportunity to caress a favourite tea mug or inhale the scent of a freshly washed vintage t-shirt.

Iβm hearing Sad Cat Diary in my head… βMy food dish in only half full. It is clear that I shall soon starve to death…β And that mournful music – the perfect background to shattered tea mugs and ruined Tshirts!

For Allein and the rest of you guys, may your today and tomorrow be extra ordinary,
I had strawberries with my low fat yogurt for breakfast! Alas I didn’t look anywhere as cute eating them as these guys.
I no have strawberries. π
Turtles always look so happy when they’re about to take a big bite.
Guess which picture screams ‘Kiss me you fool!’
Or “I’m ready for my close-up Mr. DeMille” as she slinks sultrily down the stairs.
Or I’m a little kiddo that got into Mama’s makeup stash.
I have some giant palm sized strawberries all sliced up on my desk for later.

Here’s that picture! Thanks!
Thanks, NTMTOM, and happy Strawberry Day to y’all!
I LOVE THAT!!!!
That is so adorable. It takes a little doing to make a snail adorable.
Now Iβm craving strawberries. And cute red bunny leeeps.
It is with great sadness that I must share a tragedy with you all.
Please join me in mourning my perfect, lovely tea mug, which fell to its death on the tile floor of of the break room this morning. π
Sorry to ruin this lovely strawberry day for you. Tonight I shall begin anew the quest for the perfect mug.
RIP (Well, mine was gray but I can’t find a picture of that one.)
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Just like a strawberry.
We need these shoes!!
SO cute – but I have a feeling they’d be less so in “Gargantuan”.
I saw those shoes a couple of weeks ago and was VERY tempted to buy them. They positively scream “I may be 58 but I can still wear silly shoes”.
I love this site.
