His eyebrow dots look like they have their own dots!

I have experience a few “memorable evening of overpriced minimalist cuisine” in my life and I had the same disappointed look on my face upon seeing my plate as that sweet doggy.

Been there done that too. Usually happened at company holiday events. When we lived in FL, several times after an evening of fine dining like that, we ended up at Waffle House on the way home just so we wouldn’t go to bed hungry. So glad that trend has generally gone out of favor.

The short version is he seems to be doing better. If you are easily grossed out, stop here.

I took him back to the vets yesterday, and they got him to eat something! So the current recommendation is find anything he likes to eat (within reason—nothing bad for dogs, and nothing I know Ricky can’t digest), and give him that. There will probably be some more diarrhea in the immediate future, as changing foods upsets doggy tummies. With luck it won’t be as bad as it was before—he lost half a pound within two days! And then he was flat-out refusing to eat anything he normally likes, which meant he wasn’t getting enough of one of his meds; the main thing now is to get some calories, with the “missing” medication into him.

Right now his gas could fell an ox, even with my windows open! But that aside, he seems to be doing much better today than he had been since Thursday night.

Thank you so much for your concern! Yesterday was very loooooooooong.
