27 of the Funniest Animal Snapchats

(Life With Dogs, via Sarah D.)

And finally, a story of a rescued dog who was missing her puppies. With a little work, the Marin Humane Society tracked down the babies, and here’s the happy reunion. (via Arne)

That’s my submish! I’m DJ. I love the title. High Squeed Internet. It’s perfect! ^_^

Also, Mama dog was so happy to see her pups she didn’t know what to do with herself. I love how she kept going back to look in the carrier as if more pups were going to mysteriously spring from it. That’s just happiness.

Obviously this Librarian loved the Library sleepover. Very creative. Great way to get kids involved.

Dogs cut way down on the creep factor of clowns. They are just to sweet to be frightening.

      Library sleepover is too cute.

I love animal tails with happy endings.

This photo in the 27 funniest animals is not particularly funny but WOW! that’s an amazing looking cat! Does anyone know what breed it is?

    • DebG October 7, 2016 / 11:52 am

Gigi, that cat is wearing a fur coat!

The ferret thing is incredibly brilliant. Who knew they were so useful?

      • Gigi the cat lady October 7, 2016 / 12:09 pm

I don’t think it’s wearing a fur coat, the tail matches with the fur.

The ferret story reminded me of Smoky, the Yorkie who during WWII was definitely the *cutest* war dog ever! Smoky carried a telegraph wire through a pipe under a runway for the Signal Corps, saving them several days of work tearing up and rebuilding the runway, not to mention losing access to it. It’s a wonderful story about a dog who had a very good life. You can find her story on Wikipedia under Smoky (dog). The photo of her in the helmet is one of my favorite dog photos ever!

And that library sleepover was total GENIUS. Especially the way the toys participated in so many adventures overnight — that was the work of a particularly creative librarian. I’ll bet those kids will never, ever forget the night their toy got to go on a sleepover at the library!

Other names: Yorkie Doodle Dandy! πŸ˜€

            Ack! Ded!

I have a friend in Sweden that had the most gorgeous Norwegian Forest Cat. She had calico colors in her fur and so floofy! Unfortunately, she was a fierce kitty that was not into cuddling. Anyone outside of the family that tried to touch her got THE CLAWS! So, sadly, I never got to snuggle that floofy, gorgeous creature when I visited.

      • Gigi the cat lady October 7, 2016 / 12:11 pm

Yes I think you’re right Allein, I found another photo of a Norwegian Forrest cat that as the same look.

        • dubravkamcvmd October 7, 2016 / 4:08 pm

OK, this is just silly. I mean cats are gorgeous, sure, but this Norwegian Forest cat is over the top. As kittens , they probably can actually kill people with their overwhelming cuteness and beauty.

And as adults they might crush you to death. πŸ˜‰

On a side note, just got a “your order has shipped” email for my calendar! I am going to try not to read ahead. I’ll have to put it away in my desk and forget about it until January.

Not to threadjack but MY CALENDARS ARRIVED IN TORONTO!!!!!
They look GREAT! So much cute, so much NOMTOM wit!!!!!!

    • Not That Mike The Other Mike October 7, 2016 / 12:35 pm

Wow! I ordered three samples, probably before you placed your order, and I haven’t gotten them yet! Glad you like it!

Were the shipping costs and other costs reasonable? I was not sure what to tell Canadians to expect.

      • Birdcage October 7, 2016 / 1:54 pm

I recall the Lulu website allowing me to chose among 3 shipping-to-Canada options: basically, a regular mail, an expedited mail and a courier service. I chose regular mail because I wasn’t in a rush and it arrived so fast! I think it was around $8 for the cheapest shipping option. The entire order, 2 calendars + the Oct discount + shipping to my Toronto office was around $35 CAD. I considered it a very reasonable transaction on my end. I’ve already decided to make a point of celebrating all the “days” showing on the calendar. Bubble Bath Day!!! Gumdrop Day!!!!

        • Birdcage October 7, 2016 / 2:04 pm

UPDATE: I checked the shipping box I received. Turns out Lulu has a Toronto-based business address. It printed and shipped from within Canada. It came via Canada Post from a warehouse less than 16 km from my office. Turns out Lulu has “stores” all over the world – didn’t realize I could have selected the Canadian store. There’s a UK one, Italy, Germany, Australia, all over – and it appears the Cutetropolis calendar is available in each one, in local currency. Wonder if it prints locally at each one? That could save your international readers some $$$.

          • Not That Mike The Other Mike October 7, 2016 / 2:21 pm

Thank you. Lulu’s website was vague on this point (perhaps out of necessity) but it did suggest that they had locations outside the USA that could handle foreign orders. That makes sense, because the print-on-demand production model allows for decentralization. Lulu can transmit the artwork of my pages to a local facility and the calendar is printed there. Neat! I love living in the future!

I too loved the pup mom’s reunion with her babies and how she was so excited she couldn’t count (although I worried that maybe they didn’t find all of them). However, the bearded dragon who won’t leave the side of it’s toy lizard brought a tear to my eye – and then the thought that maybe I need medication, I mean, c’mon, reptiles? Teh Cute is a slippery slope.

I haven’t been able to watch the video yet. Frustrating!!

Puppy Family Reunion video was the best 2 minutes or my day.

  8. Kar October 8, 2016 / 12:45 am

Uh, you guys did see the DATE on that ferret article right?

And those puppies look as big as Mama! I hope that she’s still not nursing, when I see mama cats nursing kittens their own size, it looks like a zombie feeding.

    • JenDeyan October 8, 2016 / 4:12 am

I did notice the date but decided to submit it anyway because I had never seen it and I thought it would be something others who visit this site would like.

        • JenDeyan October 8, 2016 / 11:18 am

Oh my gosh! You mean THAT date. I thought you were talking about how old the article is. I am an idiot. I totally fell for it. Thanks for the heads up.

And six years later. My first submission to Mike’s site and it’s an April Fool’s joke…

          • Dubravkamcvmd October 8, 2016 / 11:46 am

I guess I’m half a dolt since I immediately thought it was an April Fool’s thing but since yesterday wasn’t April 1st I just thought hmmm.

I feared that Mama dog’s tail would fall off, she was wagging it so fast. I laughed when the one hungry pup latched on the milk and did not want to let go. Doggy happiness all around. **sneef**
