Can you boop feet? Because I really want to boop that teeny little paw.

I say why not? Those little hands and feets kill me!

You can boop anything if you’re brave enough.

        Hedgie doesn’t scare me.

If you do a prolonged boop, the little footsies might wrap around your finger!

That little back one is ready to do just that, I think.

Don’t know but I’d totally kiss that little pawpad.

Because this picture is so close up I didn’t really how teeny that little guy really is. Must be an itty-bitty baby porcupine. And yes, tiny hands and feetsies are killing me!

I also agree with the majority. You go ahead and boop those feets, Allein!

Jen, I think you’ve probably figured out by now, but this little darling is a hedgehog – or as my husband likes to call them “hodgepigs” – don’t ask.

Boop away Allein!! I’ll be in line to snorgle (very carefully!) and boop that little guy too! He is so cute I literally gasped when I saw him and he can come into my garden any day. Baby hedgies are the best!

That is the cutest hedgie pic I have ever seen!

  5. Doug December 15, 2017 / 12:36 pm

    Is that Mr. Quill ?

  6. debg December 15, 2017 / 12:42 pm

I’m just dying here from the cuteness. If hedgies lived longer, I would have a whole swarm of them (but I can’t handle heartbreak every few years).

    • Murray C December 15, 2017 / 2:16 pm

Well, you’re going to have all those other animals to look after (see Links post) which might mitigate the sorrow, knowing as you do that you’re saving so many lives!

Agreed, those little feets and hands are killers, but did anyone notice that cute, boopable nose? And what looks like a timid hedgie smile ??

  8. Clairdelune December 15, 2017 / 1:26 pm

Mike, just received the calendar – if I had my way, you would be getting an Oscar or Golden Globe or a Golden Pen or “Smile Award” for the funniest, creative, and well written comments on the animals depicted. Love your gentle humor, and the narratives that manage to sound “literary”. Have you written any books?
Anyway, THANKS for making me smile, I really need a daily dose of that!!

    • Murray C December 15, 2017 / 2:12 pm

      YAYNTM – Ditto to that.

    Love this lil hedgepeeg!
Thank you, NTMTOM, for helping me thru a not-so-great time. You made me laugh when smiling was hard.
May we all have a better 2019.
