How does that human leave the house with that face staring out the window?!

This is why pets in the workplace should be a law. So that kitty’s ear shall be left un-scritched!

My kitty does the same thing in the window when I leave and when I arrive home.

I feel guilty and I don’t even have a cat!

I agree! If I saw that, I’d probably be calling into work saying “uhh can’t make it today, feeling ill cough, cough.”

The little pawsie reaching out and those eyes! Man, I’d be putty in the pussycats paws.

I’ve just heard that Oskar the Blind Cat, who I believe was featured here several times, died very suddenly on 5th February. R.I.P., little inspirational feline.

When I worked and hubby was already retired, he’d tell me that Sylvia knew exactly when I was due home as she’d come and sit by the front door in anticipation. If I stopped to do some shopping before coming home, she wouldn’t sit there probably until she heard my car coming down the street as she always knew the right time to be waiting. Scary but it was SOOOO accurate since I had a witness to follow her moves. She’s been gone at almost 20 years old in April 2017. But I still remember my ‘welcoming’ committee every day.

My old cat used to do this with my boyfriend. I always got home from work before him, so I could witness the cat’s perceptive behavior. She could tell exactly which car sounds were him parking on the street outside, and she’d run to the window to watch him walk up to the apartment building then to the door to greet him as he came in. It’s so interesting to think about what it would be like to live with a different creatures senses; I have no idea how she could tell it was him and not one of the many other cars that parked on the street.

Before my husband leaves in the morning Mia will come and settle down on his lap and she will have that same look of utter despair when he has to push her off to get up.

Gigi, that’s why I don’t sit down before I leave for work! Why break their loving little hearts?

I had a dog when I was kid that would bark incessantly and we’d have no idea why – until about 5 minute later the milkman showed up – he could hear that darned truck BLOCKS away.

By the way, its Nat’l Hippo Day! I don’t know if it was mentioned earlier or not.

I’ll get home early from work
If you say that you love me.
