And finally: Hot Tub Chill-Out

In northern Japan, the famous macaques love to sit in the hot springs for the same reason tourists do: to stay warm. But scientists discovered another reason: the warm water relaxes the snow monkeys and lowers levels of a stress-related hormone. But anyone who loves hot tubbing knew that already.

I would happily live in most of those dog houses myself, but I don’t like the one with all the balls in it that the dog can’t play with.

Ricky only likes one brand of toy, and when I heard the company was going out of business, I scoured the shops that sold them, and the internet, too. I bought out everyone so Ricky could always have a toy he liked.

Yay for rescued kitty and rescued dog—he’s so adorable!

I saw an article a year or two ago about the storks. The man who cares for her, Stjepan, not only built her a lovely big nest on the roof of his house, but has gone so far as to build her ramps to walk up and down to get onto the roof since she can’t fly up or down because of her injured wing! And he feeds her all winter, and makes sure her ramps are snow- and ice-free. And then her mate returns every year without fail. They’ve raised many nests full of baby storks. It’s a wonderful love story, not only on the part of the storks, but in Stjepan’s thoughtful care for her all these years!

It is a beautiful story. Daisy’s story is wonderful too. Poor suffering little pup really lucked out.

Oh, yes! That poor pup, she had just AWFUL mats, didn’t she? I’m glad she found people to love her and take care of her!

I think the dog house made out of balls is mean, it would be like me living in a house where the walls were made out of books but I couldn’t read them! LOL!!

I totally agree on both counts! A better way to do would be to install two openings – a ball dispenser so every day puppster gets a different ball. And at the end of the day, devoted owner puts the used ball in through the top to keep the house full. Win- win for everyone – you have a unique dog house and puppster has an unlimited supply of balls to play with.

And rooms with walls made of books you can’t touch???? Oh, the horror!!!

The ball dog house is open on the top, like a container. But a one ball a day dispenser system would be awesome.
