Whatta Horndog

The twisted tree of evolution took another unusual turn this week, as researchers from the Center for Dubious Paleontology offered a theoretical link between ancient dogs and the rhinoceros, called the Rhindogerous (canis absurdus).

I am learning Dutch and its word for rhinoceros is nuishoorn. Whenever I’m stuck on a vocab word, I hear it pronounced and it makes perfect sense. Nose horn.

    Also this pupoceros is adorable.

I think the species needs to be studied more closely, and I bravely volunteer for it to reside with me during said research. The things we do for science!
