I want a grilled cheese and bacon sandwich and chips and a glass of milk, andย do you have a big bale of hay and some apples for Steve?

Grilled cheese sandwich and an apple sounds good right about now. It’s cold today and supposed to snow tonight. I’m sitting at my desk still wearing my scarf… I wonder if they’ll have any good soup in the cafeteria to go with it… Steve and his buddy are welcome to come join me.
LOVE THIS! Steve can stay for lunch at my house anytime!
Steve looks like he could use a good meal.
It’s been a lo-o-o-ng winter. Hope he got
some nosh.
dear Lord, the ears on Steve!!! adorable
He could hear someone eat a marshmallow at 100 paces.
This does make me feel a little sad because we used to have deer (and a fox or two) in the back woods all the time.
It’s been a couple of years since I’ve seen either deer or fox in the woods behind my home. :-(. Sad.
They signed with Disney for a three-picture deal.
Mom: “How many times do I have to tell you not to ask me in front of your friends?!”
The expressions make this. Diesel looks like, “Yep, just another doggeh day, are they going to open the door or what?” And Steve just looks like “Hey.” Funny beasts….
He followed me all of the way from school. I swear!
Can we keep him? Pleeeeeeeeaaaaaaazzzzzzze! I’ll feed him and walk him and give him a bath every day!!! Can we can we can we?!?!?
That’s the type of comment I was going to make…great minds, you know! ?
Well, it’s the obvious next question.
When I was home for winter break my senior year in college a cat showed up in our driveway one day. When they left for work, my mom said “hi kitty!” and my dad said “go away.” When they got home, he was still there, and my mom said “hi kitty!” and my dad said “go away.” We had him for 7 years. ๐
Well, we know who really ruled that house.
The cat obviously.
Well, duh!
He worked his way from not being allowed in the house when no one was home to not being allowed out of the house when no one was home. My mom placed an ad to see if she could find an owner (he was healthy and fixed and not afraid of people, so someone must have taken care of him), but no one claimed him (though she did get a couple calls from people offering to take him in if she didn’t find the owner, but by that point she had spent $100 at the vet getting him checked out and she wasn’t giving him up).
Funny story: before he really moved in, my mom was feeding him, and some days he wouldn’t eat. Eventually she found out the neighbor’s son-in-law was feeding him, too. He would go hang out by the side door of their house and visit with their cats.
Oh deer. Adorable.
We’re getting pretty close to this at my house. The deer aren’t nearly as fond of my cat as she is of them, much to her dismay. This is her, abandoning all dignity in a desperate attempt to make friends with one of them.
Aw! I’ll be friends with her!
Steve looks hungry – is that a lolling tongue I see?? I love to see deer tracks in the snow behind the house, I try to leave some food for them when they come out at night. Sadly, there has been some construction nearby and a large swath of the deer’s home in the woods is gone… ๐
Blocked! Imagine that it’s cute – looking forward to viewing it later.
