Links: No More Coffee for Me, Thanks

Bug-eyed bird, widowed penguins, giant cat, round birds, and backup corgi, in today’s links.

And finally: Back That Booty Up

Corgi butts already look great walking away, but Iroha the corgi knows that they look even better coming towards you. (SoraNews24 via Andrew Y.)

The pootoo looks like a victim of Crap Taxidermy.

If only the Pearson family (This Is Us) had a cat…

The Potoo looks fictional. And adorable. Birds are amazing.

Loving the cat gas tank and corgi butt back up. It should come with a warning beep like big trucks do. And the twin kitty brothers, so adorable and so happy they got adopted together. I think the Pootoo was the inspiration for the PORG in the Star Wars movies.

AJ I think the “corgi backing up” sound should be like little yips or something! 😁

Oh yes. Yes please. How can corgis be so impossibly cute?

      Porgs are puffins!

Porgs were designed for the 2017 film Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi. They were conceived by writer/director Rian Johnson, who created them to digitally cover up the vast numbers of real-life puffins present on Skellig Michael, the filming site for Ahch-To.[19] Rian “was looking at how can he work with [the puffins]. You can’t remove them. You physically can’t get rid of them. And digitally removing them is an issue and a lot of work, so let’s just roll with it, play with it. And so I think he thought, ‘Well, that’s great, let’s have our own indigenous species.'”

Agreed. Not sure why they felt the need to sub that.

    Love the adorable birdies!

That Sphynx gas tank would scare the ever-loving crap out of me if I weren’t expecting it. Love the photo of the dog trying to investigate/attack as the owner tugs at the leash.
