I Ain’t Afraid of No Ghost!

Oceanic researchers exploring near Hawaii discovered a cute ghostly creature: An unknown species of octopod living at depths lower than ever recorded before. CNN has the story, and you can watch more video on the NOAA website:

Looks like a job for the new, improved Ghostbusters, Andrew Y.

I hope they call him “Casper”…. He looks like he might have enough going for him to have his own TV reality show!!!

A ghostly octopus and a zombie bun, is today a Spooky Sunday?

Love the shot at :19. It’s like he’s just waiting there for people to notice him.

He’s ready for his closeup and 15+ minutes of fame.

He seems to blush in a lovely shade of lavender. Exquisite beastie.

Isn’t he just! Under the sea is so enchanting – I just wish that people would leave it alone (I don’t include scientists in that wish!)

“Never mind me, I’m just an old dried-up tree branch.”
Ha ha ha Murkle46! Thanks for the giggle.

Beautiful creature. Who knows how many more such discoveries are hiding in the deep – let’s hope they manage to survive the damage we inflict daily on the oceans.
