In the fierce battleground of Nature’s realm, creatures employ unique tactics for survival. In this scene, we see a ferocious kitten stalking a roll of paper towels. The kitten sneaks ever closer to the unsuspecting towels, when suddenly he strikes! During the struggle, the paper towels use hypnosis to give the kitten a sudden case of the sleepies. Thus, tattered but unbeaten, the towels live to see another day.

I wonder what the paper is that he’s laying on. A scientific treatise on the nature of paper towels in the wild, perhaps?
Towel roll: “I really mopped the floor with him!”
That’s one nasty paper towel ..
Wonder if he has a sheep pattern on it .. that would have knocked the kitty
right out counting them.
But, but – isn’t Bounty the “Quicker Picker Upper”??? (Zcheesh, no wonder I can’t remember important stuff when phrases like that are taking up room in my brain)
The gospels according to Cat
On the first day, the kitten slept
On the second day, the kitten played
On the third day, the kitten slept
On the fourth day, the kitten played
On the fift day, the kitten slept
On the sixth day, the kitten played
And on the seventh day, the kitten rested, exhausted after such a busy week!
And on all seven days the human momcat had to rest, to recover from all the exhausting Cute. π
I read that in David Attenborough’s voice. π
I’m sure we all did. π
I love that little pussy cat pose: Legs and arms blown the side Just softly knocked out!
Really!?!?!?!!!! This is one of those killer kitty pictures that require taking firm control of oneself to keep from driving to the pet store (only 5 minutes away!!!) and grab a kitten. Which would cause mayhem considering the dominant disposition of the current Catty Queen of the household. I’ll have to steady my nerves now.
*gulps small glass of wine* *repeats action*
My beloved 16 year old cat, Dr.Acula, had to be put to sleep a week ago, and I have been barely able to resist that kitten (or older cat) acquiring urge. Literally everyone in my life tells me I shouldn’t go out and get another cat just yet, but why?! =(
Claire, I’m so sorry for your loss.
If you’re ready for another cat, you’re ready. I personally tend to rush out for a new baby when I lose one–the house just feels so empty even when I’ve got a herd of them.
*awkward British hug*
Oh, I know just how you feel. It’s two weeeks since I lost my little Daisy, but although I’d love to have another feline friend my changed circumstances won’t allow it. From now on I’ll have to rely on Cutetropolis to keep my cat cravings under control.
Thanks, Alice, and I’m so sorry to hear about your Daisy. Thank goodness for Cutetropolis to fulfill our cute kitty needs.
Just do it. Your heart and mind are telling you to do it. Why wait, indeed?
How will that give you any benefit, any warm cuddles? Make tracks to the
nearest shelter and give some poor kittie a warm welcome. It will be
healing, which you deserve.
I’m so sorry, Claire. And I agree with DebG. There are no rules about how long you have to wait before getting a new kitty. If you’re ready, you go on out and get yourself a fluffy ball of joy!
I’m so sorry, Claire.
But I agree with everyone else: Why wait, if your heart is telling you that there’s another kitty that really needs a home that would love to have you as its servant? Hubs and I never can resist getting another animal (or two) after we lose one. We find that it helps the grief heal by having a new baby to love and enjoy. I say if you think it’s time, it’s time! It’s a way to honor your Dr. Acula, , by sharing your love with another baby that needs it.
So sad for you – but I think it’s up to you and what you can deal with whether you get another cat immediately or wait. I’ve heard tell that men widowers who were in happy marriages are the first to remarry, so why can’t that be applied in other scenarios?
PS Dr. Acula – very cute.
When my Moose died my house was so empty I adopted 2 kittens a week later! I regretted it at first because I’d forgotten how psychotic they are, but now I’m so glad I got them. No one bothered to tell me I should’ve waited, but apparently EVERYONE I knew was thinking it, haha. We’re all different, if you’re ready, you’re ready! I know how big a void they leave, it’s painful to leave it open like that.
Claire, go follow your heart. Get another kitten or older cat and love it, it will soften the pain of the loss and you’ll feel better knowing you are saving one cat from an uncertain future. Am sure Dr. Acula will approve
I am so sorry for your loss, Claire. If you feel you’re ready, then go for it!
Rabbits don’t live as long as cats, and I’ve had many pass away. Fortunately I’ve always had more than one bun at a time, so there’s someone to cuddle after a death. Sometimes I could wait until coming across the “right” bun, and other times I’ve had to find a new bunny right away. There’s no “right” amount of time to wait. Wishing you good luck in finding your new fur baby! Don’t forget to post pics! βΊοΈ
