It’s Not the Crime, It’s the Coverup

“Me? Oh, nothing. Just, ah… looking for my contact lens. Yeah, that’s it, my nice, juicy, t-bone contact lens. I’m pretty sure I buried it — er, I mean, dropped it somewhere around here.”

Yeah, I’m not buying it, Amy F. (and Murray C., too!)

I LOVE the idea of hiding the hole! It might not be a long-term solution however. Hmmmm, think, puppeh, think.

Always make sure your hole is no larger than your head.

I thought the rule was don’t eat anything larger than your head!

Thanks I needed the laugh. I got up at 5:30 this morning to go and stand in the cold (-12C) to get a fasting blood test that I have to get every 4 months for my diabetes. There was already 10 people in line when I got there at 6:00, when the doors opened at 7:00, we got told that the computer system was down and they didn’t know if they would be able to take us today but we could wait if we wanted to. So I waited (no way am I going to fast 2 days in a row) and finally an hour later they got the permission to do the registering by hand and I finally had my blood drawn at 8:30. Couldn’t wait to get home and have breakfast and caffeine! ?

Well, that’s a bad start to the day – thank heaven the deed was accomplished – I hope your coffee was FABulous!

What a drag – I bet that was the best-tasting breakfast & coffee ever!

Dog: “Why, yes, I am going to lie here all afternoon. Nothing odd about that, is there?”

If the he could, I think the dog would whistle nonchalantly!

I would love to know what doggie did after he thought his human had gone, did he continue to dig??
Also, I’d like to think he was just hiding his Humans Christmas gift there 😉

    And love the snow!

    What dirt on the path?

I gotta say, this shows remarkable intelligence! In psychology, this is called theory of mind, being able to think about what someone else might think. Although clearly the dog doesn’t get that humans have object permanence.

I think it’s a learnt behaviour, in previous times it’s probably been told off for digging holes. My cat does a behaviour like this when I scold it for eating cardboard boxes.

Not an ounce of guilt on that doggie’s face. Nope. Not a bit.

Door click, dog down…Best nonchalant cover up ever!
