Beware the Deadly Carpet Piranha!

The carpet piranha (peegus ravenous) can be found in carpeted areas all over the world. A school of carpet piranha can skeletonize a carrot in under thirty seconds, although their preferred feeding method is to carry parts of the carrot away to dine in privacy. As fearsome as this species is, it has the good sense to avoid the even more deadly carpet shark (chompus domicilii).

Seriously, are those peegs and those human hands really, really small or are those some JURASSIC-sized carrot wheels??????

That was the first thing I thought too, I’ve never seen a carrot that big!

Could it be a sweet potato? (I don’t have audio, so if they’re saying ‘here, have some carrot’ I can’t tell).

The greengrocer I shop in has enormous carrots in a bin – not sure who buys them – guinea pig owners, I guess. And those are definitely carrot – they have a core in the middle.

I felt bad for the little white one who had to wait until last.

I was wondering the same- huge carrots? Funny the last 3 peegs trying to find a safe place to hide & eat. Oops, this is taken, oh this one also….where to go? I felt for the last peeg , that darn pecking order, who was patient and just waited. Nice set up for them.

I imagined the last peeg saying a tiny, polite “thank you” before trotting off with his snack. 🙂

That last one wasn’t so polite. It tried to fight for a piece earlier.

A shark and two strawberries. Because why not?

  8. Shan December 13, 2016 / 9:42 am

I think I could hear the peegs saying to the last two peegs “this seats taken”.

Guinea Pig Week would be WAAAAYYYYY cooler than Shark Week, in my humble opinion.

They may have avoided Carpet Shark, but Carpet Strawberries were clearly desirable.

I adored the little tugs of war between pigs.

Was anyone else thinking towards the end; the shark cave is open, why don’t you go in there, come on guys, the shark cave is free! OK, just me then…..

I was thinking the same! Guess it didn’t look too hospitable.
