And finally: Marmalade Jumps for Joy
Feline favorites Cole and Marmalade have reason to celebrate: Marmalade just celebrated two years cancer-free! And what better way than with a supercut of Marmalade’s best jumps? (via Daniel C.)

These are all wonderful!
I did find regular updates on the baby hippo and more videos.
Go baby go!

Can’t wait ’till she gets big enough to see at the Cincy Zoo, probably this summer. She’s adorable. Zoo staff is amazing with these kinds of births!
There are 12 dads. Already set for a calendar. 😉
I love the expression of Marmalade’s face!
Isn’t he great? I love that little family!
Hooray for Marmalade! After Maru and Hana, Marm and Cole are my favorite Internet feline duo. What an adorable kitten he was.
Love all the linkies (again) today. So relieved to hear about the baby hippo.
Dads and dogs reminds me of my late husband. He had never had house dogs, just farm dogs, but decided to get a house dog after we dog sat his poodle mix grand dog. When hubby retired, the house dog became his best buddy, a great comfort to hubby when he was confined to the house with illness.
That’s really sweet – so glad he got the opportunity.
Sorry for your loss, and well done for having a fur baby! On a lighter note, I read your name as “Bosom” 🙂
I know of a real life Dad/Dog situation, as well.
The Dad was dead set against a dog, but the 3 kids constantly begged him for a dog. Finally, one morning in anger and frustration, and after 3 kids going on and on about a dog, the Dad said “…fine! Do what you want!” And stormed out of the house and went to work.
THAT VERY NIGHT, The Dad came home to find that Mom and Kids got a dog. The Dad was angry and told them that clearly he didn’t really mean they could have a dog and they would have to get rid of it. Tremendous crying and protests ensued, but the Dad would not relent. The next day, Mom and Kids took The Dog to the Uncle’s house to live.
EVERY WEEKEND after that, Mom and Kids went to visit The Dog, leaving the Dad at home by himself. Seriously. The Dad would say “Hey Kids, you want to go to the movies/paintball/Lakers game, etc.” And the answer would be “No. We want to see Fluffy.”
Fast forward to present day. Fluffy now lives with The Dad, Mom and Kids and The Dad is Fluffy’s favorite human.
Great story! How many weekends did it take for the Dad to come around?
Not very long. It was a lonely life without the fam.
All links awesome. But the dogs winning over the no dog dads is my favorite. The one with the little white dog asleep on the guys neck and cheek is fantastic.
Yay dogos!
Couldn’t agree more, tho’ I’m partial to the little doxie but that’s just me. I wonder if the red panda was found, anybody know?
Thanks for the introduction to Marmalade. I think he’s a Spaz-manian Devil!
So happy for Marm. He’s a great kitty and a joy to watch. Also, a bit of a nut but that’s what makes him for lovable.
I really do hope they find that Red Panda. Not only are red pandas some of the gosh-darn cutest animals on the planet but… well, that’s reason enough. STC! Save The Cute!
Replace “dog” with “cat” and that’s my dad.
Red pandas seem to always be escaping! Once while visiting the Cincy Zoo, their red panda got out (it was re-captured while still on zoo property), and a keeper told me the radio code for escaped animals is Houdini. I love that. Apparently red pandas are really rascally, curious, and great jumpers. The keeper said they had to be really careful about trimming back the plants around the enclosure otherwise the red pandas leap for freedom.
I almost named my 2nd dog Houdini because he can get out of or into ANYTHING.
Marmalade may be the result of genetic experiments – he definitely as some goat genes!!!
Yay Marmelade! Congrats on two years well.
Loved the dads and dogs. Just proves they are big ol’ softies underneath it all.
I loved the dogs and dads, too. Reminded me so much of my own. He was an old school cowboy. Dogs were for work. If you wanted a dog, he wanted to know what it was for. A herding dog for the cattle? A hunting dog? Upland or waterfowl? (I wanted a St Bernard because I liked big slobbery dogs). My sister move to Florida and gets a Rottweiler for “protection.” My dad retires and goes down there for the winter. Next thing I know, my sister sends a picture of my dad watching the football games on Sunday with a 75lb lap dog in his recliner with him.
Well, gotta protect the recliner against, um, furniture thieves! 😀
