Many people think of cats as lazy and lacking in purpose, but our feline friends actually perform many useful functions. For example, how many times have you wondered “Is there still gravity?” only to have a cat knock something off a table to remind you. Here are Shorty and Kodi to demonstrate all the jobs cats can do.
That was educational, Paul P.
Insert *snort-laff* after the word gravity!?
My bun performs a few of those jobs for me already, plus “sensitive document shredder”.
Lol, at least yours are “shredders”. Mine are “sensitive document defilers”. 🙁
Well, that happens, too!
It’s that look that cats have when they knock something off a table or shelf. It hits the floor and they stare after it like “okay, darn, gravity is still a thing”.
The video forgot to mention one profession where cats excel, dance instructor. Shortly after I watched the video (and laughed the whole time) my cat decided I needed to practice my dancing.
Cats are great personal trainer/motivators. Every time I’m working on an inversion against the wall, my cat would come and park herself sideways in the exact area I would come back down on. I’m just like “okay, I guess I’ll just have to hold this handstand until you get bored and leave.”
My cat is a detour supervisor: lays down right where I have to walk!
And all this time I’ve been thinking my cats are freeloaders when in reality they have been performing valuable services! 😀
My favourites are the cuddler and the ghost stalker. But the concept of cats stalking ghosts is unnerving…
My cat is an avant-garde sculptor. Her extensive oeuvre includes work in arm chairs, couches and human limbs.
Please do not forget the Zen Garden (AKA Cat Box) Daily art installations invoking the cycles of the seasons, territorial boundaries, restaurant reviews, and political commentary.
