I’m so glad for Robert that he gets to have kittens. And the puzzlemat is REALLY FUN!

omg this face…
(And I don’t think Chibikuro looks the least bit sorry about stealing fish.)
A bobcat named Robert? Genius!

Ahhhhh!!! now I get it re Robert!! Just started my coffee, thanks Allein. (I still grin when I think of the male strip clubs named ‘Swinging Richards’)

Re: Fish Stealer – my dogs act the same way when they have contraband. They are indignant that I would try to take something from them that is rightfully theirs. They “earned” it by being stealthy and vigilant while the humans were being lazy or clumsy.

Pablo once got a Hershey Kiss and very neatly unwrapped it. (I caught him before he managed to actually eat it.)
That kitty with the puzzlemat plays just how my kitty plays. My kitty would love that mat.

That kitty’s got quite the setup! Fun mat, fancy tower, high shelf/walkway thingy….
Also, I can’t decide if she’s wearing a colored cape or a white shrug. ๐

That cat is indeed living the life–lucky baby! I use mats like those to block my knitwear, and I don’t want to encourage my furbabies to chew/play with them even more. Maybe if they had their own set, they’d leave mine alone? (HAH)
Living the life for real! It would appear that room is all for kitty. I have a room just for the chins, but that is mostly because I have to keep kitty and her murder eyes away.

I hate to be a nuffer but why does it have to be almost exclusively weapons that they give the chameleon and other pets to hold?
OK off the soap box now, I laugh out loud at the touchy the fishy kitty and the puzzlement kitty and the bobcat “daddy” is so sweet!
allein ?August 23, 2017 / 9:39 am
I actually had the same thought…why weapons?! I assume that’s just what the owner had lying around from kids’ toys or whatever, but I’d look for other things…maybe some toy kitchen implements? Tiny baton for twirling? (At least one of them had a flag instead of a sword.)

Lego items would be too small. Most dolls I’ve seen have accessories too big for most of the pictured reptiles. All the toys I can think of with items of the right scale are things like Gundam model kits (I see several weapons that come with the Zaku) and then various action figures.
The broader answer to Gigi’s question, though, lies in analysis of western gender norms regarding boys’ vs girls’ toys. Boys are directed toward imaginative play centered on violence, and trained to direct their peers to the same (you’re playing with giiiirl toys). Weapons are totems of masculinity (phallic symbols at their most bald-faced) and simultaneously the tools for enforcing the traditional order. Violence is both means and end. Western society is an ouroboros that will, as it consumes itself, be reduced to nothing but gnashing teeth.
Or maybe I’ve just spent too much time watching the news.
In any case, the latest Legend of Zelda game has chameleon-person enemies called Lizalfos, as mentioned in my previous comment. They wield various weapons, including swords. They’re also a hoot, with lots of eye swiveling and hopping about, making them something of a fan favorite.

haha, awesome – it seems the lizard on the label has had a few, the tiny feet are so wide apart as if the ground was unstable under him ๐
A tiny lizalfos. I love him.

He could team up with that Japanese YouTuber who prepares tiny food in a tiny working kitchen…
Oh, and BFB, definitely not TLDR – I love the unexpected directions these threads take – it’s one of my fave things about the community!
I had the same response, Gigi. Weapons are decidedly NOT Cute.
Chameleons are cute, though. I liked the other links.
Puzzle Cat has such a sweet little face. Too funny that such a calm, placid expression hides the mind of a psychotic foam killer.
“This damn thing is falling apart, I hope you kept the receipt!”
Given the title of the Cat/Puzzle piece I was sure it would be a Siamese cat!?
Love the doggies with the puppy pack and the whole lot of these links, actually!
